The Goddess

The goddess is not an object or a thing or even a human figure. It is an idea in which we base our life around. The world is composed up of the four elements air, water, earth and fire. The fifth element Aether or spirit is what binds everything together and it represents the divine. The goddess is our mother, mother earth. In older times models were made of the goddess with emphasized bosom and genitals. This was to represent fertility. 

Wiccans ado not class themselves as faithful, they keep their beliefs to themselves. Te divine is to be experienced. During rituals you should hold on to your experiences with the goddess.

The divine is neither male nor female. The idea of a humanized male god is not Wiccan. And its yet another mystery to the divine. Yet the divine is represented in many ways across the world. She is the earth , the weaver of life. In most languages nature is a feminine word.
