BACKGROUND: Marie thought up Takeya way back in '01, and this August will be his 18th b-day. Takeya as a character had a pretty rough life as a child. His parents had abandoned him because of his odd appearance. He didn't look like a dragon at all, but more like some sort of dinosaur. Later on he met Marie, and then Daiichi, Sharia, and Tutania. Takeya's now Marie's "side-kick", and usually shows up in her posts at message boards and such.
