In the whole Dragonball series the Dragon was summoned 14 times, and 22 wishes were made. The Dragonballs are round and have a number from 1-7, witch means you have to get all 7 of them. When they are all together you can make wish. But must have the password to summoned the dragon. Kami's Earth Dragonballs The First dragonablls in the whole series was kami's Dragonablls. The Guardian of earth. Once all kami's Dragonaballs are all together you can summoned Shenlong, the Dragon of earth. Shenlong can only grand 1 wish. But that wish is very powerful. After the wish is done the dragonablls will turn to stone and once 1 year has parts the stones will become dragonablls again. It can only bring a person back to life 1 time. Deade's Earth DragonBall After kami was force to fusion with Piccolo kami's dragonablls were gone. But only a statue of the dragon was left. When Goku went to namek he got Dende to be the earths Guardian. Then he made kami's Dragon statue back to life, but made the dragon grand two wishes instead of one. Guru's Namek Dragonballs Guru is the oldest namek of all the nameks. And he made the most powerful Dragon. The Dragon "Porunga" is more powerful than Shenlong. Porunga can grand 3 wishes instead of 1 and 2. And the Dragonballs are alot bigger as well. Muri's Namek Dragonballs After Guru die some one had to take over his job. And the next olders namek was Muri. So he got the job. The Dragon Porunga is the same as the old Porunga. Black Star Dragonballs These Dragonaballs appear in Dragonaball GT. These Dragonballs are very evil. You can wish for bad things on people or a place. These Dragonaballs are the most powerful balls of them all. They can do one wish. And after that wish is done the Dragonballs go all over the universe. So it makes it a lot harder to find.
