Blinx the Time Sweeper is a next generation platform game for the powerful X-box. Blinx is a cat whose job is to travel the universe, sweeping up time-junk and monsters created by shifts in time. Unfortunately, a gang of bike-riding pigs aren't making Blinx's job any easier! Blinx the Time Sweeper is different from the standard platform game in a couple of ways. The first big difference that you'll notice is the ability to manipulate time. If you collect the right gems, you're rewarded with time tools - you can rewind, fast forward, pause, record, and slow down time. This means you can pause a bad guy just as he's about to get you, and finish him off in relative safety. These ‘time tool’ features are possible because Blinx the Time Sweeper makes use of the X-box's hard-drive, the first game of
its kind to do so.

The graphics are top-notch (although sometimes you might find the virtual camera a little annoying), and the sound effects and music are great. Overall, because Blinx the Time Sweeper is an interesting and different game, which is definitely worth taking a look at. Don't be put off if you're a little confused by things for the first half hour or so - soon enough all will become clear and you'll be helping Blinx sweep time in no time!
