Part 122

Walking into ‘Tabu’, the staff was thrilled to see Sarah and greeted her enthusiastically.

"Hey, guys!" waved Sarah as she started up for Howie’s office. "D upstairs?"

"Yeah, but he wants you to change before you go up," answered Shannon.

Shannon handed Sarah a bag and she headed to the bathroom to change. All the while, she was trying to figure out what Howie was up to. The clothes he had gotten for her were what she had worn for Becca’s bachelorette party. When she was ready, she went back out and headed upstairs.

Tito had seen her and buzzed the office to warn Howie and he met her at the door. "Hey, Angel."

"D, what are you up to?" questioned Sarah as he put his arms around her waist.

"Surprising my wife. Now, close your eyes." Sarah did as he asked and he took her hand leading her into his office. "Okay…open them," whispered Howie as he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.

In front of her was a table elegantly set with candles. There were candles all over the office casting a soft glow and dozens of flowers…flowers of every variety with white roses mixed in with them. The couch was covered with stuffed animals of every variety and by the couch stood a HUGE stuffed unicorn with a note attached to it.

Sarah took the note and read, "To a magical night and making all our dreams come true. I love you, Sarah, with all my heart. Howard."

Once again, Sarah found herself crying as she turned to face Howie. She put her arms around his neck and began playing with his hair as she kissed him. "I love you so much, Howard."

"Then why the tears, Angel? We’ve had enough crying and sadness for any one couple."

"But I’m HAPPY, D. You surprised me and this is SO SWEET."

"Come on. You have a show to do and I’m HUNGRY."

Howie led Sarah to her chair and held it for her as she sat down. Then Shannon appeared to serve them their salad and drinks. The couple enjoyed a peaceful dinner together talking about the Youth Center, the Foundation, and the show Sarah was going to do that night.
