Part 402

"Damnit, Nick!" snapped Howie as Sarah groaned. "Don’t you know a closed door means you should knock FIRST?"

Becca was right behind Nick as she scolded, "Nickolas Gene! I told you to leave them alone."

Not to be deterred from his mission, Nick demanded again, "I want an answer. Becca never said you should send Jesse home before the tour was over."

Aggravated that Nick had interrupted them, Howie rolled off Sarah and sat up, "It’s NOT your decision to make, Nick. She’s OUR daughter and we’re doing what’s best for her!"

"Having her parents is what’s best for her!"

Calmly, trying to diffuse the obvious tension between the two men, Sarah sat up too and said, "Nick, it can’t be both ways. She needs to be in school and I knew it when Becca brought it up but when we went back out on the road, she needed to be with us."

A small voice spoke up amidst the adults as she tugged at his hand, "Uncle Nicky, I WANT to go to school."

"You do?" questioned Nick as he knelt down beside Jesse. "But a minute ago, you didn’t sound too happy about it."

"Nick, she was watching her favorite movie. She wasn’t paying any attention to you," pointed out Becca.

"Oh," was all Nick could manage as he realized Becca was right. Seeing the couple still somewhat tangled in each other, a rush of red spread. "I did it again, didn’t I?"

Howie and Sarah both grinned. "Yeah, you did," answered Howie.

"I’m sorry, you two," apologized Nick.

Jesse hugged him, "It’s okay, Uncle Nicky. You just gotta ‘member to knock when Mommy and Daddy’s door is shut."

Nick laughed, "I guess you’re right, ‘Peanut’. How ‘bout you and I go and finish watching the movie?"

"But Uncle Nicky, you don’t LIKE Cinderella ‘cause Mommy says the stepmother reminds her of Grandma Jane."

Sarah groaned as she fell back into the pillows and Nick cut his eyes at her saying, "I think I can handle it this morning…. especially if your mommy is gonna stay in here!"

"She is," said Howie laughing because Jesse had yet again used Sarah’s comments to embarrass her.

Jesse took Nick’s hand pulling him back to watch TV leaving Becca at the door.

"We’ll be out shortly," said Sarah from under the covers that she’d pulled over her head.

"Are you fixing breakfast?" asked Becca.

"Yeah, I am. Is it just you and Nick?"

Looking over her shoulder, Becca saw Kevin making his way into the area where Nick and Jesse were watching TV. "Kevin’s here."

"Do me a favor. See if there is a kitchen in the venue and if I can use it to make breakfast," asked Sarah as she pushed the covers back down.

"Sarah, why don’t we just go out to eat?" suggested Howie. "That way, we can spend time with Jesse rather than having to deal with the cooking and cleaning."

Sarah started to protest but Becca spoke up supporting Howie. "That’s a GREAT idea."

Looking at the two, Sarah sighed. She knew it was a losing battle to even TRY to argue with them. "Fine! Then get everyone together. I don’t want to be the middle of the morning eating. I’m STARVED and I still need to pack Jesse’s stuff."

Howie winked at Becca thanking her for helping out as she said, "No problem…and I’ll get Jesse’s stuff packed for you. You spend some time with Howie."

As the door clicked shut, Sarah once again pulled the covers over her. "I REFUSE to leave this bed!"

Howie laughed as he pulled the covers back. "It’s not THAT bad, ‘Angel’. You’ve still got me."

Yanking the covers out of his hands, "That’s NO consolation!"

"Oh! So THAT’S how you’re gonna be," laughed Howie as he reached under the covers to start tickling her.

Sarah made a half-hearted attempt to get away from him laughing the whole time. "Stop it, Howard!"

The two continued their ‘wrestling’ match for several more minutes. Howie had Sarah laughing so hard that she had tears streaming down her cheeks and she could barely catch her breath.

Finally, Sarah took his hands in hers. "I give up," she panted.

Howie smiled, "’Bout time, woman."

"Do you know how much I love you?" questioned Sarah as she snuggled in close to Howie.

"Yeah, I do," whispered Howie as he nuzzled her neck.

"I don’t know what I’d do if you didn’t want me on tour with you…or if I didn’t have you at all!"

"I don’t want to find out. I’ve gotten extremely use to having you in my arms every night," replied Howie with a kiss. "I swear though…if Nick keeps interrupting us, I’m gonna kill him for real and NOT in some fan fiction."

"You didn’t kill him in ‘Dark Riders’, I DID!" shot Sarah.

"Okay…fine!! But I’m STILL gonna kill him if he keeps interrupting us."

Sarah let out a sigh. "I never really thought about what this is gonna do to him and how much he’s gonna miss her. I take it you didn’t tell the guys about this."

"I really didn’t see the need. Nick’s not the only one who’s gonna miss our little princess."

"Maybe we should see if they want to spend the morning with us then," suggested Sarah.

"Sounds like a plan." Howie’s answer was given as he ran his hand under her shirt to caress her breast.

Sarah gasped at the feel of his hand on her skin and moved in closer. Every touch was like the first time and she cherished it more than she could ever tell him, but then, it really wasn’t necessary because he felt the same way and it showed in every thing he did. The two continued to make out like two teenagers until they could hear the voices of everyone out in the living area.

"Time to get out of bed you two," yelled AJ.

"Bite me, ‘Bone’," answered Howie.

Before Sarah and Howie realized, AJ was coming through the door and climbing into bed with the two of them, taking Howie in his arms. Hysterical laugher broke out as Howie tried to get away from AJ who successfully managed to bite Howie on the neck.

Sarah shoved AJ back. "Leave my husband alone, you pervert!" she laughed.

Climbing over Howie, AJ said, "Oh, ‘Tigger’! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to make you feel unwanted."

AJ was now between the two with Sarah in his arms biting her neck as Sarah laughed, "God, I am SO glad Alison is gonna be here this afternoon!"

"Me too," piped up Howie as he got up to get dressed. "AJ…mind giving us a little privacy to get dressed?"

"Sure, ‘D’, but I don’t know why. I LOVE watching you get dressed," growled AJ as he wagged his eyebrows at Howie.

"You’re SICK, Alex," answered Sarah as she gave him a kiss. "Get out!"

AJ left the two to get dressed and they followed him a few minutes later, ready for their day.
