Part 537
Same set-up, different town. A game room had been put into place in the backstage area complete with video games, a pool table, and a wide variety of music. With sound checks done and several hours to kill before the show, the group migrated to this room to have some fun.
Brian and Nick were doing intergalactic battle on a video game while Becca watched over their shoulders. She had Garrett nestled in her arms nursing contentedly as she tried to watch and pick up pointers so she could beat Nick. This was one game he could beat her at every time and she was determined to beat him.
AJ and Howie were into a game of pool and Sarah was watching…sort of. Every time AJ tried to take a shot, she would do something to distract him. It was more fun watching to see what Sarah was going to do than the actual game itself. At one point, Howie couldn’t do anything but laugh watching his wife. AJ was bent over lining up a shot…the game winning shot and just before he was about to take it, Sarah blew in his ear. He hit the cue ball much harder than he’d planned and it went sailing off the table.
"DAMNIT, Sarah!" he cursed and turned to grab her.
Sarah scurried quickly behind Kevin who had just come into the room and peeked around him sticking her tongue out at AJ.
"I’ve got something you can do with that tongue. Don’t you have something to be working on rather than pestering the hell out of me?" ranted AJ as he picked up the cue ball.
"Nope…nothing," giggled Sarah.
"Make her go practice or something, Kevin."
"She was perfect today, ‘J’….why mess with perfection?" laughed Kevin.
"What’s wrong, Alex? Can’t concentrate?" taunted Sarah from the safety of being behind Kevin.
"Not with you fucking with me. Damn, you got me horny as hell with your shit."
"Ah, poor baby! Need an introduction to Madame Thumb and her four sisters? I’m sure Nicky could help."
"I heard THAT!" shot Nick without missing a beat of the game he was playing.
"That’s good to know," said Sarah as Kevin turned on the music. "Usually hearing is the first to go from lack of sex."
"I guess Howie won’t have to worry about hearing aides anytime soon, huh, sis?"
"Nope!" grinned Sarah as she put her arms around Howie and gave him a kiss. "My man is perfectly safe in that department."
Howie shook his head laughing. "You are bad, ‘Angel’."
"Uh huh…and I’m YOUR bad angel," purred Sarah running her hands across his chest.
"Let me take this shot before you have me so I can’t concentrate."
"Dance with me," said Kevin as he took Sarah’s hand and pulled her to him.
Sarah loved dancing with the guys and it was always fun to watch no matter if it was Kevin, Howie, or AJ. She willingly joined Kevin and they moved together gracefully. It was obvious to see the trust they had in each other and the instinct to anticipate each other’s moves.
The fun was in high gear with AJ and Howie taking turns cutting in on Kevin when Ben came looking for Sarah.
"I hate to interrupt but you wanted to talk to me about the last show and this is the first free minute I’ve had."
Sarah almost choked on her drink as Kevin asked, "What about the last show?"
"Nothing," recovered Sarah quickly. "I was just gonna try something different with the lifters."
"’Angel’, you always use mine. If you’re gonna change something, you need to talk to Todd."
"I don’t think you should change anything," said Kevin. "Your set is fine like it is."
Becca spoke up, "You’ve always trusted Sarah with her set. Why not let her try this and if it doesn’t work in rehearsal, she can do it the old way?"
"What she said," said Sarah grateful for Becca’s help.
"Fine, but I want to see what you’re doing," said Kevin.
"Let me work it out first. ‘D’, I’m going to talk to Ben for a little while. I’ll be back."
"I’ll go with you," offered Howie setting his cue stick in the rack. "Maybe I can help you."
"NO!" panicked Sarah. Seeing his bewilderment, she quickly said, "It’s not necessary, ‘D’. You’re in the middle of a game."
"But if I can help…." He started.
"I’ll ask for help," reassured Sarah starting to leave with Ben.
Becca had gotten Garrett settled and seeing that Howie wasn’t going to let this go, she said, "I’ll go with her."
Howie shrugged, "Okay. Don’t be long, ‘Angel’."
When they were gone, all five guys looked at each other and AJ said, "She’s up to something."
"What makes you say that?" asked Brian.
"You can see it in her eyes," said Nick. "And my wife is in it with her."
"You two need to find out what’s going on," said Kevin to Nick and Howie.
Out in the hall, Sarah breathed a sigh of relief that Becca had been able to stop Howie. "Do you think they suspect anything?"
"It’s hard to tell," said Becca. "You didn’t exactly play it cool."
"What do you need?" asked Ben.
"I’m planning to get even with the guys and I need your help."
Ben laughed, "Somehow, I knew that. Tell me what you have in mind."
Ben walked with Sarah and Becca towards the stage area as Sarah explained what she wanted. Ben was laughing hysterically by the time she finished and was more than glad to accommodate her. Everything was in place for the final show now. Ben was going to help with his end, Raoul had talked to the other bodyguards to enlist their help in Sarah’s plan, and Sarah had purchased all the necessary items in order to carry out her plans. It was going to be a memorable last show.
