Part 558
"Let’s GO! We’re going to be late!" Becca paced impatiently, glancing at her watch as she waited for Sarah to finish getting dressed.
"Hold your horses," the irritated voice mumbled from inside the bus.
"Hey y’all, what’s up?" Kevin strolled over to the buses, looking quizzically at the assembled bunch of people. Nick, Howie, Becca and Garrett, Billy … "Where’s Sarah?"
"I’m COMING!" Sarah called out irritably, stopping short as she stepped out of the bus and saw Kevin. "Oh! Umm … morning, Kev." She cast a sideways glance at Becca who managed to cover very nicely.
"We’re off. See you guys at lunch?" Raising up on tiptoe, she kissed Nick on the cheek.
"We’ll be here," he grinned. "Gimme GT so you two can get going."
"Going?" Kevin asked. "Going where? I thought we were all having breakfast together?"
"Nope, we changed it to lunch," Becca said brightly. "We already had breakfast, right Sarah?"
"Umm, yeah. Earlier," Sarah said, hoping that no one heard the empty rumblings of her stomach.
Becca giggled and shot her a look, proving that at least one person had heard. "You know what they say, shop till you drop!"
"You’re going shopping?" Kevin asked. "At 8:30 in the morning?"
"Sarah needs some new stuff. She’s outgrowing everything she has," Becca said with a smirk. "Later!" Grabbing Sarah by the arm, she set off with Billy right behind them.
"Bec, I’m starving!" Sarah groaned once they were out of earshot of Kevin.
"That’s what you get for sleeping in, lazy bones. You can grab a doughnut at the airport."
"Yuck!" Sarah frowned.
"Sis, if you don’t get a move on we’re going to be late! Lynne’s flight will be here in half an hour, and we have to get her back here by lunch time."
"They’re planning something," Kevin said with a frown, watching the women head off toward the limo.
Nick and Howie just laughed. "Kev, relax," Howie said with a smile. "They’re finished with their plans for tonight's show. I’ve had enough tips from the crew that everything they’ve planned is already in place."
"You’re paranoid, man," Nick said with a shake of his head. "And I’m starving. They may have had breakfast, but *I* didn’t. Come on D, Kev’s buying breakfast." He chortled at the look on Kevin’s face, but winked at Howie, knowing that their plan to distract Kevin for the morning was succeeding.
