Part 74
Sarah and Becca spent the afternoon together getting Becca ready for the wedding. When it was time to head to the venue, Becca found Nick’s keys and they drove into town.
As they were parking, Becca asked, "Do you have your pass with you?"
"Never leave home without it. Why?"
"Cuz Nick hasn’t gotten mine for me yet and I was wondering how we were gonna get in."
Sarah laughed, "Don’t worry about getting in. I don’t think Billy would dare forget to leave our names off the list again after last night."
The two girls made their way to the back doors of the arena. They passed by throngs of girls who were waiting to catch just a glimpse of the guys and Sarah waved to them when they recognized her.
One fan called, "Hey, Sarah! Can you get one of the guys to come out?"
Sarah laughed, "Oh, I don’t know. I might be able to convince one of them to stick their head out here. What’s your name?"
"Elizabeth."
"Okay…Elizabeth…. hang tight but if you don’t get to see one of them, come down to the stage area just before the show starts."
Inside, Becca laughed, "I can’t believe you tease them like that."
"I’ll get her a shirt or something and have the guys autograph it," said Sarah as she looked around for Howie. She spotted Marcus and Raoul standing with a couple other of the crew and noticed they were watching her and Becca and laughing. Out of nowhere, Sarah was hit with a stream of water and turned to see AJ holding his sides as he laughed hysterically. "OH….YOU ARE IN FOR IT NOW…BONE!"
With that, she started after AJ and they ran through the backstage area playing. Every once in a while, AJ would stop and turn around to shoot Sarah again with the water. Marcus stopped her once when she almost caught AJ but Raoul helped her get away and gave her a squirt gun to defend herself.
AJ was soaking Sarah so she had to get even. As AJ was coming after her, Sarah pretended to fall, sliding into one of the moving boxes for equipment. She lay on the floor holding onto her ankle until AJ came rushing up to her. The others weren’t far behind thinking that she had hurt herself but when AJ reached her, Sarah grabbed him and began to soak him.
"OH! You cheat!" laughed AJ as he took her in his arms.
"I had to do SOMETHING! Now I’m soaked!" laughed Sarah.
Howie came over. "Angel, are you okay?" he asked laughing.
"I’m fine, just wet. I don’t suppose you brought a change of clothes in for me, did you?"
"No…I didn’t."
"Okay…Bone is gonna make up to me for getting me soaked by going with me out to the bus. I won’t be long."
AJ complained, "Why do I have to go out?"
"Because, you owe me! Come on!"
AJ went with Sarah much to the fans' delight and while she changed clothes, AJ signed autographs and talked to the fans.
That night, Sarah and Becca sat in the wings on Howie and Nick’s side of the stage. Howie would make his way to where they were sitting frequently to flirt with Sarah and during ‘Shape of My Heart’, he signed to her that he loved her.
For Becca, Nick flirted and danced in front of her causing her to blush. He would see her turn red, start laughing, and take off across the stage. She would laugh too and sighed contentedly knowing that soon, he’d be hers for life.
