Zachery
vampire journals

In my oppinion Zachery is the most tortured character in the Subspecies world. As he puts it, he's "a vampire with a mortal's heart...there is no comfort, no rest."

He has no Bloodstone like Stefen did, so he must feed off the living. Because he must, he does, but he is ashamed of this fact, and will not face his prey. Although he usually takes only enough blood to sustain himself, it is shown that when giving the opportunity, he lets his vampire side take over and will indeed feast on his partner.

He was turned a century and a half before Vampire Journals takes place when he was seduced by a vampiress named Serena. He has since killed his master, and has vowed to rid the world of every vampire in the bloodline, which now leads him to Ash.{IMG - Zach slaying}

His mind is torn between his mission and his feelings towards Sofia. First time we see this is at the beginning when he chooses to save Sofia rather then move on a guaranteed opportuinty to slay Ash. But later on he does not try too hard to stop Sofia from visiting Club Muse even though he knows her life as she knows it will be over if she does. Instead he uses it as a way to find out where Ash is located as to better plan his moves.

As the movie ends he finishes this part of his mission, the next obvious step would be for him to take care of Radu, Ash's master. Will that happen? Well from what Charles Band said I don't think so, but I'll tell ya for sure after Bloodstorm is released.

The actor who plays Zachery is David Gunn. He and Kirsten Cerre (Sofia) went to the same acting school. She says that everyone is afraid to get to know David because he has an intimidating look to himself, but now that she's gotten to work with him, he is one of the nicest guys she knows. She also mentioned that his diet the entire time of production consisted of bread and Diet Pepsi.

According to The Internet Movie Database he played in Street Corner Justice the year before he did Vampire Journals.

More recently David Gunn has been in a few films by Mike Mendez, namely Killers and The Convent.
