“Onore!” “Bitch!” Sharp voices cut through the garden at the Capsule Corp. Both had already forgotten what had started the fight. Zarbon had said something about her being a stuck up, bratty princess that acted too much like her brother Vegita. That, of course, hurt her pride to be compared to her tyrannous big brother. So she countered the verbal attack by saying that maybe he had been a little too “friendly” with Freeza. By now though, they had already reverted to screaming at the tops of their lungs and name-calling. “Baka Yaro!” “Saiya-jin slut!” he growled. “I don’t even know why I bothered to sacrifice my life for you back then. You’re a worthless monkey-tailed Saiyan. I should have killed you when you first showed up on Namek with Vegita. You are nothing to me!” His words cut through her like a sharp knife. Kyley glared at him icily and her tail bristled as it lashed back and forth. “You can’t mean that Zarbon.” “Oh but I do little princess,” he looked coldly into her eyes. She stared at him with shock and anger. It felt as if he had just ripped out her heart and stepped on it. Without thinking, she slapped him. “I HATE YOU!” she spat. Tears streamed down her cheeks. He eyed her emotionlessly. “I hate you,” she repeated, her voice quivering. Her steel blue aura enveloped her and she took off into the night sky; leaving Zarbon standing there alone in the middle of the garden. Zarbon stared after her for several moments until he finally realized what he had just done. “K-chan…” he murmured, letting the single word linger on his lips. He suddenly felt sick. Listlessly he made his way over to a large rock near the pond and sat down. He stared out at the water for several seconds before putting his head in his hands and sobbing silently. “What have I done?” he whispered. Furiously he pounded one fist on the ground. “Kuso! WHAT HAVE I DONE!!” Quickly he stood up; tears stained his face. “I’ve got to find her!” His blue-white aura surrounded him, and he took off into the direction that he sensed her ki. After several moments of flying; a fresh scent came into the air, and Zarbon realized that he was flying over the ocean. He could feel Kyley’s ki getting stronger as he got closer. Soon he came to an island and concluded that Kyley was there. He flew down to the tiny island and stood on the sandy shore; trying to figure out exactly where Kyley was. It lead him to a dark cave, so Zarbon decided to head towards Kyley’s ki. He began to walk into the depths of the dark cavern. Several moments passed until he finally stumbled upon an underground cavern. Then he saw Kyley. She was sitting at the edge of a crystal clear pool of water. Her clothes were carelessly tossed on a nearby rock, and she sat on the smooth floor bathed in the iridescent glow of the cavern. Her tail looped lazily back and forth as she stared out at the water. Zarbon stared in awe at her for several moments. She was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen; even for a Saiyan. ‘Hmm,’ he thought slyly, ‘maybe I should join her.’ As quietly as possible he shed his clothes, and set them silently on the ground. Cautiously he began to approach the Saiyajin girl. He concealed his ki as best he could as he crept up to her, and gently caressed her bare shoulders with his warm hands. She couldn’t remember how long she had been there, in her cave. When she had left him this was the only place she could think of to go to. This underground cavern had been her secret place ever since she first stumbled onto it several years ago. After that, something about this place seemed to ease her pain, and relax her. Perhaps it was the cool water of the pool, which she often swam in, or maybe it was the absolute silence, or it might have been the fact that no one knew about her secret little place, and that she knew that she wouldn’t be disturbed. Nevertheless, this place was hers, and she always enjoyed being there. Tonight was different though. She couldn’t think of anything but Zarbon and what he had said to her. She sat at the edge of the crystal clear pool with her knees pulled closely to her chest and rocked gently back and forth. “He didn’t mean it,” She repeatedly told herself. She wanted so very much to believe that, but she couldn’t. When he had said it he looked so…cold, and careless. It broke her heart. She couldn’t help the feelings that she felt for him. Love? A weak emotion, or at least that’s what she had been told all her life. Love, an emotion not allowed back on her home planet Vejittasei. She halfway smirked to herself. ‘Vegita would be pissed if he knew that I felt this way about Zarbon.’ That brought her back to reality. She sighed sadly. ‘Zarbon…why?’ A single tear rolled down her cheek. ‘Kyley, just stop it!’ she scolded herself. ‘You’re a Saiyajin Princess, you can act like this!’ She sighed again, and looked out at the still water, and fell silent. Just then she though she felt a familiar ki, but if flickered out of existence so quickly that she dismissed the though until… Strong, gentle hands caressed her bare shoulders. She quickly turned her head only to see clear golden eyes staring deeply into hers. Moments that seemed like eternity passed as they continued to quietly stare into each other’s eyes. Part of her wanted to slap him again and tell him to go away and leave her alone. Another part wanted to hug him and be held in his arms forever. But she gave in to neither thought and just continued to stare into his eyes. Finally he broke the silence. “K-chan I…” His eyes began to water. “Kyley I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” He reached out and pulled her close to him. “Kyley, what I said…I didn’t mean it Kyley. I’m so sorry, please forgive me. I love you so much. At that Kyley began to sob. “I’m love you too,” she cried as she hugged him tightly. He kissed her lightly on the forehead, then kissed her tears away one by one. “I love you…my Kyley-chan.” That night all was peaceful and silent as two became one…united forever. |
