Another early design produced by OZ during the After Colony Era, the OZ-07AMS Aries was built expressly for aerial combat. While it's used by some regular Earth Alliance forces, the Aries is particularly popular with the elite Specials corps, the secret society OZ. Its bulky body and spindly legs make it slow and clumsy on the ground, but the Aries is a superb aerial attack unit. Mounting a pair of large jet engine housings on its shoulders and aerodynamic control surfaces, the Aries was fully capable of independent atmospheric flight.

It was also OZ's first variable mobile suit/jet fighter, as its legs deployed for walking and folded up into its body for flight. The Aries is usually equipped with a chain rifle, which can be folded up and stowed on its wing pylons when not in use. It can also carry one or more missile pods, which can likewise be stored under the wings or held in the mobile suit's hands.
