The Olifant is a support mobile suit developed by the same independent Middle Eastern nation that created the Maganac. While it re-uses some Maganac components, the Olifant is designed primarily for long-range artillery fire, and thus lacks arms and manipulator hands. Although it sports a gatling gun for close defense, the Olifant is essentially defenseless in melee combat. Its chief defense is its high mobility - like OZ's Tragos, the Olifant is equipped with a hovercraft system for rapid movement over level terrain like desert sand dunes.

While the Maganac Corps roam far and wide in their struggle against OZ, the Olifant is used strictly for home defense. These mobile suits first appear when the Maganac Corps's homeland is attacked by OZ, and can later be seen fighting in defense of the Sanc Kingdom.
