Meanwhile, Goku takes Gohan, his son to Kamesenin's island. After a brief encounter of this new guy, known as Radditz, with Piccolo, which shows how powerful Radditz is, the being from outer space searches Goku's location with a strange machine in his eye.He flies towards Goku's location (which happens to be Kamesenin's Island), beats up Kuririn, and, begins to tell a story. This so called Radditz is a member of a powerful warrior breed from outer space called Saiyans. Goku is also a member of these breed, too.
In fact, he's Radditz brother. As a child, Goku was sent to destroy Earth. Grandpa Gohan found him and took him as a child of his own. Goku happens to hit his head, and, forgets all about his mission to destroy earth. Radditz calls Goku Kakarott, his saiyan name, and with a single knee blow leaves Goku unable to move. He takes Gohan, and threatens to get rid of him if Goku doesn't kill 100 human's in a day's time. You see, saiyans are mercenaries, wich take planets and sell them. So, of course, Goku decides not to obey Radditz, but to stand up to him. Since Radditz is such a strong being, he teams up with Piccolo. Not even the two of them are able to defeat Radditz. Goku takes Radditz by the tail, remembering he lost all of his strengh as a child whenever someone did that to him. Goku, seeing his brother lying helpless on the ground, lets him go. But Radditz attacks him, mercilessly. Seeing his father in danger, Gohan's sleeping powers awaken within him and settles a very powerful head blow to Radditz.
Goku holds Radditz so Piccolo can hit him with his powerful "Makankosodappo", but Piccolo's powerful beam gets through Radditz and kills Goku, too. Radditz uses his last words to warn Earth about two other saiyans, which are lots stronger than Radditz was.
Piccolo and Gohan have one year to train. So does Goku
Meanwhile, Vejita and Nappa, which are the two other saiyans of which Radditz warned Piccolo of, heard of the earth dragonballs....
They decide to get them and wish for eternal life. Meanwhile, in another dimenson, Kami gets Emadayo Sama to let Goku get to Kaio Sama, for Goku is going to train with Kaio.
Kami's plan is to bring Goku back to life using the dragonballs within a year, after he has trained with Kaio, so that he can beat the two saiyans.
So, Piccolo takes Gohan to train, and the rest of the Z warrios are warned of the threat Earth is in. Anyway, saiyans arrive in no time and the battle begins.
Goku is brought back to life, but he still has to travel a long journey to get to the battle. While Goku gets to the battle place, all of the Z warrios are killed pathetically by Nappa, specially Yamcha. Nappa is really powerful, and yet, he seems to be afraid of Vejita. The only ones that survive are Kuririn and Gohan. Since Piccolo is dead, the dragonballs loose their power and become rocks (check the characters section). Goku defeats Nappa in no time, using the Kaio-Ken, a special technique he learned under Kaiosama's teaching.
This techinque makes the user's speed and strength increase incredibly.Vejita is really annoyed with Nappa, so he kills him. Goku begins to fight with Vejita, who is really tough, but can't beat Goku's Kaio-Ken ten times increased. But Vejita creates an energy ball and turns into Ooazaru, wich is the saiyan's state of a giant monkey-like creature, which takes place when a TAILED saiyan looks at the moon, o a similar ball of energy. (Note that I highlited tailed, this is because only saiyans with a tail can go through this change. If a saiyan looses its tail, he looses the ability of changing to Ooazaru form.)
Vejita really beats up Goku, being stronger and bigger after this change. He grabs Goku and crushes him, breaking all his bones.
Yajirobe cuts Vejita's tail, and makes him turn back into a small saiyan, again. Goku makes a Gengi-Dama, another techinique he learned from Kaiosama, which consists of gathering the energy of the whole Earth, in a single sphere. This technique is really powerful, and can only been used once per planet, because of the risk of making the planet explode by undergoing through such power. Vejita is hit straightly with it, but still manages to stand up again! Goku can't fight him anymore, since all of his bones are broken. Gohan is the only hope. Suddenly, Gohan grows a tail! And he too reaches Ooazaru form. Vejita cuts Gohan's tail, but Gohan, still as a giant monkey, lands over Vejita and smashes him. So is the end of Vejita. Vejita crawls to his spaceship, and Kuririn tries to kill him with Yajirobes sword. Goku stops Kuririn and lets Vejita go away. Goku does so, so that he can face Vejita again in a near future. Goku, Kuririn and Gohan are releived by the fact the Saiyans have been beaten. But they are sad too, as their friends are all dead, and that includes Piccolo, whose death brought the dragon ball's death, too (see Characters section).
Thus ends the Vejita Saga.
