Garlic Jr. showed up in the first Dragon Ball Z movie (Dead Zone)to rule over the Earth. He used the Dragon Balls to make himself immortal. He was the only one ever to accomplish this task because many have tried(Vegeta and Frieza). In the first movie, Gohan was kidnapped by him because Gohan had one of the Dragon Balls. Goku came and was too strong for Garlic Jr. whiched forced him to on the Dead Zone (A huge black hole). Gohan wasn't too happy that his dad was being sucked into it so Gohan blasted Garlic Jr. into the Dead Zone, thus restoring peace to the earth, until after the Frieza Saga. When everyone except Goku and Vegeta had returned back to Earth from Namek. Garlic Jr. had destroyed the wall of the Dead Zone and had returned. He then let lose the Black Water Mist which turned everyone on Earth into his evil slaves except Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin. Gohan got mad because Garlic Jr. had opened the Dead Zone again and blew up the planet that Garlic Jr. was getting his power from. Garlic Jr. was then sucked into his Dead Zone for eternity, since he is immortal and without anymore power to feed off of. The End, for him that is.
