Ja'aku woke up to find himself lying on his back in a bed. He looked around the room - then tensed in terror as his gaze fell upon Kori sitting at the foot of the bed. Ja'aku quickly backed up, pressing himself into the headboard. Kori looked at Ja'aku.

"What's wrong?" Kori asked softly. Ja'aku sat trembling.

"You could kill me now," Ja'aku whimpered.

Kori frowned. "And what makes you think that I'll do that? Is it because I'm the son of Frieza?" Ja'aku cried out at the mentioning of the tyrant's name and began to panic as Kori stood and walked to the head of the bed. Kori leaned down, bringing him face-to-face with Ja'aku. He spoke in a low soft tone. "Or is it because you think I want revenge for Kirei's death?" Kori watched as Ja'aku began to weep softly. Kori walked away from Ja'aku.

"I... had no intentions of harming her when I..." Ja'aku trailed off, still crying.

"When you killed King Cold?" Kori finished. Ja'aku nodded. Kori turned around, his back facing Ja'aku, and sighed. "I don't want to hate you. It wasn't your fault that these events occurred," he said, remembering the pendant. He turned his head around to look at Ja'aku. "At least it wasn't entirely your fault."

Ja'aku winced.

Kori folded his arms across his chest and leaned against the wall. "Mom wants you to stay with us for a while."

"What? But... why?" Ja'aku stammered, bewildered.

Kori looked to the boy who really wasn't a boy at all. He then shrugged his shoulders and smiled. "Why not?"

"Hey, Yoshiki! Don't just sit there! Give us a hand, would ya?"

Yoshiki looked up from his sketch pad and glanced over to see Okashii and Tomodatchi attempting to pin Kori - very unsuccessfully. Each was hanging on to one of Kori's arms trying to make him budge. Yoshiki sighed and, brushing his long, midnight-blue bangs out of his face, proceeded to stand and make his way over to the wrestling youths. Kori looked up and grinned. "So, are you going to take a stab at it, Yoshiki?"

"Yeah, I suppose," the pale Kobitian smiled. "Though I must admit, this is rather amusing to watch."

Kori chuckled, then lightly tossed Okashii and Tomodatchi to the floor as if they were nothing at all. He watched as the two boys stood and joined Yoshiki. He grinned. "I guess fair is fair, ne?"

The four boys continued to wrestle, having true fun for the first time in a long while. Kori, who was on the bottom of a laughable dogpile, stood effortlessly and watched as Yoshiki, Tomodatchi, and Okashii tumbled to the floor. Kori chuckled and turned away. He slowly stopped laughing as his gaze fell upon Ja'aku, peeking around the doorframe. Kori grinned again.

"So, do you want to try?" he asked.

Okashii, Tomodatchi, and Yoshiki looked at Kori, shocked at his invitation. Ja'aku pulled away from the doorway.

"I... I don't think I should..." the pale boy stammered.

"Don't worry, you're not nearly as strong as you were before - no offense," Kori apologized.

"Um..."

"It's all right," Yoshiki said softly, dusting himself off. "We're just playing around - we're not even sparring, really."

Ja'aku looked down to the floor for a moment, a troubled look upon his face. He then looked back up again as he took a step into the room.

"All right." Ja'aku walked to the center of the room, joining the other boys. Kori watched as the rest of the boys took a step away from Ja'aku. Kori laughed.

"Oh, come on, guys! He can't take me on all by himself - he's going to need some help!"

The three Kobitians looked at each other.

"Um... yeah - OK," they agreed. For a few moments everyone just stood, not a word or movement between them. Kori then broke the silence.

"Well?"

The other boys smiled at each other; Yoshiki grinned at Ja'aku. The four youths charged at Kori and they all began wrestling again.

-

A few minutes later...

Kori stopped walking and turned around, looking at the four other boys who were still sitting in a tangled pile.

"Okashii," Tomodatchi said from the bottom, "can you please get off of me?!"

"Sorry."

"Ow!"

"Sorry!"

"Get off of my foot!"

"Who? Me?"

"No, him"

"What?!"

"Hey, that's my tail!"

Kori shook his head. "Better luck next time, guys!" he laughed as he walked out of the room.

Months passed and Ja'aku remained in the palace with the royal family, becoming almost a brother to Kori. Together they trained every day and Ja'aku's power grew. It was discovered that Ja'aku's race, the Maigo, could increase their power easily when given the proper training. Soon, he and Kori were nearly equal in strength. By then, Tsuki had taken both under her wing for more training as she had no-one else strong enough to spar with her.

Nashi watched as Tsuki sparred with Kori and Ja'aku. She wore a tight, sleeveless top that exposed her waist and a long skirt with two slits on either side. She looked up as Kori and Ja'aku flew towards Tsuki. The saiya-jin laughed and simply shrugged off their attacks. Tsuki looked down to Nashi.

"Ya wanna try, Nashi?"

Nashi grinned weakly. "Um... no, thank you, Tsuki."

Tsuki laughed again as she blocked another attack. Then, her face lost its playful emotion and she shoved the youths away once again. She phased and appeared next to Nashi who looked back at her, startled.

"Are you expecting visitors by any chance?" Tsuki asked softly.

"What? Visitors?" replied Nashi. "Why, no - I don't believe so. Why?"

"Because someone's coming." By now, Kori and Ja'aku had come over to the older women. Kori spoke up.

"Who is coming, Tsuki?" he inquired.

"I don't know."

"When are they coming?" Ja'aku piped up. Tsuki looked up, searching the sky. Her eyes widened. "Um - now!" She stood and began ushering her companions away. "C'mon! Go - move!"

Just as the words left her mouth, seven spherical space pods came burning through the atmosphere. One by one, they crashed into the ground, each creating a huge blast and equally huge crater. Tsuki, Nashi, Kori, and Ja'aku all cried out as they were easily pushed away from the expelled energy.

-
Zarbon looked up and stopped walking as he sensed multiple massive powers approaching Komek.

"Sir?" The man who he had been talking to had stopped beside him. Zarbon held up a hand.

"Wait," he said. Zarbon then looked to where Nashi said she was going to watch her son and friends train. "Nani?" he breathed as he saw numerous spheres fall from the sky. The other Kobitian gasped. Zarbon turned quickly to the man.

"Gather our fighters and meet me there," Zarbon ordered, pointing to where the spheres had just landed. "Contact Earth and inform them of this. Just in case."

"In case what?" the Kobitian asked.

Zarbon looked at him solemnly before turning and taking off towards Nashi and the others.

-
Tsuki pushed herself up. She shook her head, regaining her senses and coughed as dust fell off of her. Damn, she thought, those space pods do leave a nasty little impact. Tsuki stood up and brushed off the rest of her clothes.

"Kaasan!"

Tsuki looked over as Kori scrambled up to run over to Nashi who was also pulling herself out of the rubble. She looked to her left and saw Ja'aku stand as well. Tsuki then rose a few feet and flew over to the newly-formed craters. She landed at the approximate center of them, waiting for Nashi, Kori, and Ja'aku. They all heard a few, faint hisses.

"Here they come," she announced.

Out of six of the scorched pits, six males walked out, each stopping at the edge of their craters. Tsuki carefully studied them. One had long, flowing hair; another with his long hair tied back; yet another with long hair - his spikier than the other long-haired ones; one with fairly short, spiky hair and a sword; another with shorter hair still - also spiky; one with short hair with a rattail - looking similar to the one with the sword. All had dark hair. Tsuki suddenly gasped as she noticed something else.

"What?" Nashi whispered.

"Look," Tsuki said, her voice barely audible. "They have tails - they're saiya-jins." They all then looked as a final figure stepped out of the last hole. She had short spiky hair as well, darker at the tips. Tsuki made a disgusted face as the saiya-jin with the sword took his place beside her, his arms folded across his chest. That has got to be the weakest-spirited saiya-jin I've known to be whipped like that... "So, this is Komek? Hmm..." the female saiya-jin said as she looked around. She stopped as her gaze fell upon Kori. "Nande kuso? Frieza?"

Kori stepped forward slightly. "No, I am not he."

"Hn," she said.

"What do you want here?" Nashi asked with more force than Tsuki or anyone else there could ever remember her using. The female saiya-jin looked at her.

"A Kobitain? I thought your kind was dead. Hmm, yet here you are, living with those that I had thought killed you," she laughed, referring to Kori and Tsuki.

"We are very much alive, thank you. Now what do you want?" Nashi repeated.

"Your planet, that's it. Someone can still benefit from the Planet Trade and that," she paused, gesturing to the other saiya-jins around her, "is us."

Kori spoke again. "The Planet Trade is long gone and so is everyone who has controlled it."

"Obviously not, for here we are. Don't get in our way brat - it is beneath me as to who you are or where your roots may lie."

Tsuki grinned. "Well, then - I guess that would leave me, ne?"

"Tsuki..." Nashi said in warning.

The other female saiya-jin smiled as well. She looked to the male saiya-jin with long, spiky hair. "Kosho - kill her." The male nodded.

"Hai, Kyuri-sama," he replied.

Nashi paused, thinking.

Kyuri?

-
Akuma gulped - his race was excellent at reading power levels. He shook as he realized Zarbon's measured in at over two million. More than… he felt the blood drain from his face as he calculated the score. Eight times my own. "Kyuri didn't mention this," he whispered.

-
"So you're the one who sent Akuma here a while back," Nashi reasoned, looking to Kyuri. Kyuri grinned.

"Kosho," she repeated.

The one called Kosho laughed at Nashi before flying at Tsuki, dealing her a blow to her midsection. He stopped laughing as Tsuki sighed, not moving.

"Do you realize," she said, nonchalantly - Kosho looked up - both grin and color leaving his face, "that you haven't even half of my power?" She held her hand to his chest and fired a small, yet powerful, ki blast. He screamed as he was blasted away and vaporized. Tsuki looked back at Kyuri. "You need to chose your fighters more carefully." Kyuri scowled at Tsuki.

"Don't tell me how to fight."

"Well," Tsuki remarked, "I don't see you fighting!"

Kyuri growled. "Kabu! Daikon!" she barked. The two requested saiya-jins nodded to each other, then raced at Tsuki. She moved her right foot back and lowered herself into a fighting stance.

"Maybe this'll be a little bit more exciting." She watched as they charged at her, then as they phased out of her vision. Suddenly, she sensed them above her. She brought two fingers to her forehead. "Shunkan Ido!" She disappeared just before the two saiya-jins would have landed, side-by-side, each on one foot, on her back. They looked around for a moment trying to find her before she appeared behind them. She held her hands out in front of her. "Double Tsuihikidan!" Two ki blasts formed in her hands and hit the two saiya-jins directly in their backs. They landed and tumbled a few feet before standing and attacking again.

Kyuri watched the fight then whispered to the saiya-jin next to her. "Tamanegi," she nodded to Nashi, Kori, Ja'aku, and Zarbon - who had just arrived. "Take care of the Kobitians and their friends." She unwrapped her tail from around her waist and brushed his arm with it. Tamanegi unfolded his arms. "Hai, Kyuri." He studied the group for a moment before phasing away. He appeared hovering behind Ja'aku and delivered a swinging kick to the back of the boy's head. Ja'aku groaned weakly before he fell to the ground and blacked out.

"Ja'aku!" Nashi yelled. Tamanegi eyed the remaining group before disappearing again. Zarbon took this time to power up to his Ultra-Kobitian form. Kori looked around him warily as Tamanegi appeared behind him, fist raised. Kori spun around, catching the saiyan's hand in mid-swing. Oya ma, Kori thought. He's very strong. Tamanegi wrenched his hand out of Kori's grasp and grabbed Kori's own wrist before twisting Kori's arm around. Kori cried out in pain as he heard the sickening pop of his shoulder being dislocated. Tamanegi finished his brief attack by kicking the pale boy aside.

"Bakayarou!" Tamanegi turned as Zarbon charged at him, a streak of blue-silver light.

-
Tsuki tensed as she blocked Daikon and Kabu's kicks with both of her arms. They quickly backed up and came at her again.

"You know how annoying you two are?" she growled at them. Neither answered as they punched her, each mirroring the other. She shrugged them away again and jumped back.

"Grrrrraaahhhh!!" she yelled as she focused her energy and exploded into super saiya-jin form. Kabu and Daikon paused for a moment. Tamanegi looked up from his battle as he noticed the immense power increase.

Screaming, Kabu and Daikon powered up together and flew at Tsuki again. This time, Tsuki flew at one of them, Daikon, and elbowed him in his face, breaking up their synchronized attack. She flew backwards and met up with Kabu. She spun around and kicked him in his stomach with enough force that it drove him back, sending him crashing into Daikon. The two kept flying until an unusually pointy outcropping of rocks stopped their momentum. Daikon let out a small gasp as a long shard of rock pieced through his and Kabu's midsections. Kabu looked down at the rock that had impaled him.

"Whoa..." he muttered weakly. He coughed up some blood before his head dropped and his arms hung limply at his sides.

"Hmph," Tsuki said. She flashed a victory sign. "Never tangle with a super saiya-jin!"

Tamanegi watched in horror as Tsuki defeated the two saiya-jins. He threw Zarbon to the ground and flew screaming towards Tsuki.

"DAIKON!! Oniisan!" He came up behind her and swung both his fists down to the back of her head then jumped away quickly. She winced and scrunched up her face.

"Damare!!" She rubbed the back of her head. "Don't do that! That hurt!"

"That didn't even phase her..." Tamanegi murmured.

"Of course it didn't!" Tsuki yelled back at him. "Now knock it off! Go sit down or something." Tamanegi stood, temporarily at a loss for words. Tsuki faced Kyuri. Kyuri brought a hand to her head.

"This is doing nothing at all for my migraine," she muttered.

Tsuki smiled again. "Like I said before, never tangle with a super saiya-jin!" she said arrogantly. Tsuki watched as the last two saiya-jins - Horenso and Ichijiku - looked to each other before locking their gaze onto Tsuki, both grinning maliciously. They both lowered into a combat stance and powered up rapidly - almost immediately turning super saiya-jin. Tsuki's jaw dropped.

"Aw, shit..."
