Hurcule was the martial arts champion at one point. When Cell announced the Cell Games he knew that he had to compete to stay the champion. Hurcule loved to get the attention and he didnt want anyone to know he was a fake. Even though Gohan beat Cell, Hurcule told everyone that he beat him. Everyone believed Hurcule for some reason. They even made a national holiday after him. It was meaningless. Hurcule was soon to be found as a fake when he fought against Chibi Trunks and got knocked out of the ring. He is the father of Videl. He hated that Gohan was always with Videl. He wanted Videl to be with a strong guy. I guess he didnt know Gohan that good haha.
