And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow

Goku looked down from Heaven as he watched his wife. She had just woken up and was moving about the first of the day's chores. She showered and he watched the water cling to her body, wishing he could, somehow be able to touch her. He loved Heaven, yes, but he missed his mate. He longed to hold her in his arms and smell her scent in the air. He loved the vanilla shampoo she used on her hair also. It smelled so good. He would give the life he had in Heaven up to go and be with her forever. He was allowed to go as a ghost and watch over her in her sleep. He was pained every night when he went to touch her and his hand would go straight through her. Although, he knew she felt him. She would lean towards his ghost form and say his name wishing he would come back.

You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

She was truly his Heaven, the only love and comfort he ever held was for her, and of course his sons and granddaughter. No one was like his wife, not an angel in Heaven could compare to her light. Goku have a sad sigh as ChiChi left the bathroom and went to 'their' room. He watched as she put on her usual white dress, which she had begun wearing ever since he died. She tied her hair up into a tight bun, although Goku wished she would leave it down, he liked it better that way. ChiChi stepped into her shoes, her tiny feet that he loved, walked gracefully over the floor, but in her eyes she had a glint of sadness. Bardock came and asked Goku to come home, to their family house, but Goku refused and stayed on the cloud watching his love. Heaven was not suppose to be sad, but it was to him now, his dear wife was alone, and so was he.

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life

Goku watched as ChiChi went down the stairs and begun to heat the bathing barrel for their youngest son. She then went in and began to cook. Her food was amazing, his mouth watered, even though the ones in afterlife did not eat. There was no need for them to eat, they had eternal life. Goku cursed his luck, being away from his family for the rest of their lives. He wanted to see his wife again in person. He wanted to breathe in her smell. He wanted to get the part of his heart that had died the day he left her back. He wanted to say he loved her, she had never heard it, although somehow, he was sure she knew. Goku felt a tear slip down his cheek and land on his hand. His wings came closer around his body as he thought of the woman he so truly loved.

'Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

He tried to calm down, ChiChi would be with him one day. Everyone died, some way or another, then they would rest together for the rest of eternity. He would be a good husband to her, treat her like the Queen of Heaven. He had even quit fighting in Heaven, although his body stayed in the same great shape and power. He never wanted to miss the nights he had to watch over her. He might have forgot if he was fighting. He wanted to bust out of Heaven and sweep ChiChi off her feet and carry her into the sunset, but then that might do some damage, let another evil out of Hell. He was offered a reincarnation, but the only person they said he could be reincarnated into was a newborn family member. The only choice there was, was Pan and Juunana's son or daughter by. He didn't want to be ChiChi's great grand child though. He wanted to be her husband again.

And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand

Then they offered to let him come back as an Angel certain times during the year, but that might cause trouble. The people on Earth would not understand what he was and might try to hurt his family if they could not get him. He would never be allowed out of the house, and that wasn't the life he wanted. He wanted to be there for his wife and go places with her. He wanted to treat her to special things. Goku slammed his hand on the ground, only to have it go straight through. He wanted... that was the only thing he had thought about. How was ChiChi without him? He didn't know except for the asking for him to come back in her dreams. Although, was she getting over his death while awake and conscious? He didn't want to hurt the world she built for herself.

When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

His personality was always a mystery to her. She knew the nice, sweet and clueless Goku who wanted to fight and save the world. She was never able to experience the love he felt for her, except a rare few times. He never showed it and was disappointed in himself for being so stupid. He thought that after every fight there would be peace and he could be with his wife, show her a nicer life than he had given her during times of training. His life was like a crystal glass. It was cracked and chipped so many times through all the hardships, that after the Evil Shenlong, it broke. His life was gone forever and he had a new one in Heaven, alone. He continued to watch as ChiChi spent her day cleaning and cooking. No one visited her and Goten was rarely home. Gohan and Videl had their own lives and jobs, and Pan was married and had children now also. Even though ChiChi's age, she didn't look a day over twenty.

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies

Tears pricked at Goku's eyes as he watched his life all alone. It soon became dark; she left a large dinner out for their son and went to her room. He watched as she changed into a nightgown and lay down. Soon he would come to her as a ghost in her life. Then Goku noticed the trembling shoulders and the tear stained face of his wife. "Goku... I miss you," she said through her tears. Goku then let loose as many tears fell down his face. *Oh ChiChi, I wish I could be there... * He thought to himself sadly as he watched her cry herself to sleep. All their life he had lived in lies, he thought one day there would be peace and he could always be with her. Now that there was that peace, he wasn't there, he was dead. The truth hurts, like they sometimes say, and it came hard for him. Soon ChiChi fell asleep and he felt himself disappear from Heaven and come into her room.

When everything feels like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive

It was strange, seeing her there now, the truth dawning over him. He noticed now, the signs of age on his wife from a close point of view. Her hair was sprinkled with gray and small lines were on her face. Goku heard a voice in his head from the top Angel, Gabriel, in Heaven. He smiled sadly looking at his wife's sleeping form. Soon, they would be together, thought not as he would wish. He saw the life fading from her as she died, soundlessly in her sleep. No pain was evident in her calm features as she let go to death. She had died, of a heart disease, thankfully not the horrid one he had almost died from. It was different, slowly shutting down her heart until she died slowly, though not very painfully. He saw a bright light come from her body as a ghost form of his love came out and smiled at him tears welling in her eyes. The two spirits were interlocked in a hug and kiss immediately as Goku's heart felt complete once more. "Come along ChiChi, it is time for you to go to Heaven, where you belong" he said softly as he picked her spirit form up and flew with his powerful wings to their new home.
