- Goku:    Goku is the hero in DBZ.  He was the first to become a Super Saiyan in over a thousand years.  Goku is a Saiyan formerly called "Kakarot".  The origninal plan for Goku was to send him to earth as a baby, so he would destroy the Earth later on.  When Goku arrived on earth, he was found by a nice old man named Gohan.  Gohan adopted and took care of Goku, and tried to mold him into a nice young man, but Goku's programming wouldn't let Goku be good.   Goku was always disobeying Gohan, and Goku eventually turned violent.  Goku's programming was finally scrambled when one day Gohan was carrying Goku, and Goku forced his way out of Gohan's arms and fell onto the ground and rolled down a cliff and hit his head.  From that day on he was a nice, normal child.
   Goku found out about his past when other Saiyans came to earth and told him the story.
   Goku still fought for the good guys, even knowing about his past, and later on married Chi-Chi and had two sons, Gohan and Goten.

- Gohan:   Gohan is the first son of Goku and Chi-Chi, and was named after Goku's foster grandfather.   Gohan's first appearance was in the first DBZ episode, and was about 4 years old.   When Gohan was still very young he was kidnapped by Radditz.  Radditz had kidnapped him to blackmail Goku into doing what he wanted, but when Gohan found out that Radditz was trying to hurt Goku, his power level rose and attacked Radditz.  Later on, Piccolo began training Gohan to be a fighter, and Gohan respected and looked up to Piccolo for training him.  Since Gohan was half Saiya-jin also, he had a tail too.   So this meant he can transform to an Oogaru whenever there was a full moon, so Piccolo cut off his tail to prevent the transformation.  Gohan's first transformation to Super Saiya-jin 1 was during training in the room of sprit and time with Goku, and was the first to become Super Siya-jin 2.  This occured when Cell killed Android 16.   Gohan's power level would rise whenever he became really angry.

- Goten:   Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi.  He got to turn into Super Saiya-jin 1 while he was training with Chi-Chi at the age of seven.  Goten usually trained with his brother Gohan, who was also the one who tought Goten how to fly.  Chi-Chi wasn't as hard on Goten and his studying as she was with Gohan.  Goten never met his father, because his father died during the Cell game, and Goten was born after the Cell game.  He finally got to see Goku when Goten was seven years old, and Goku was resurrected.  Trunks and Goten both entered the Adult Division of the Tenkaichi Budokai as a fighter named Mighty Mask.   They were defeated by Android 18.  After Goku returned from the dead, he tought them to bond together to become more powerful.  Later on, Goten and Trunks succeeded in bonding together, and transformed into the powerful Gotenks.

- Vegeta:   Vegeta is son of King Vegeta, which makes him a prince of Planet Vegeta.  He originally came to Earth with his friend Nappa with plans to conquer the Earth.  He was stopped by Goku, and during the fight, Vegeta killed Nappa, for failing to do what he told him.   Afterwards he turrned into an Oozaru, but he never got to reach Super Saiya-jin yet, because his tail was cut off by Yajirobe.  Vegeta always thought that he would reach Super Saiya-jin 1 because he is royalty.  Instead of him reaching SSJ1 first, it was Goku, and that made Vegeta extremely mad.  Vegeta then became obsessed with reaching SSJ1, but to no success yet.  Later on, he realized that Future Trunks had also reached SSJ1, so he knew that he could do it to, which made him train even harder, and still to no success.  He became really angry due to the fact that he couldn't reach SSJ1, and his anger was what finally enabled him to become a Super Saiya-jin.

   Later on, Bulma invites Vegeta to go live with her at the Capsule Corp., so he went.  While he was there he trained in the Gravity Room that Dr. Briefs had made in hopes of becoming stronger than Goku.   Later on Vegeta managed to win over Bulma from Yamcha and they had a son (Trunks).   Bulma had to raise Trunks basically by herself because Vegeta was always so busy training. 

- Trunk's:   Trunks is Vegeta and Bulma's first born.  Since he is Vegeta's son, he is half Saiya-jin and half human.  Trunks was mostly raised by his mother, Bulma, since his father was always too busy training.  Baby Trunks met his future self (Future Trunks) as a baby, and would not remember that time, because of his age.  As trunks grew up, he became best friends with Goku's son, Goten, who was almost equal to Trunks in strength.   Trunks' first time to turn Super Saiya-jin was during training at the age of eight

- Tien:   Tien was the student of Tsurusennin. He trained under Tsurusennin with Chiaotzu, who was his only friend before he met the Z Fighters. Tien has three eyes, which has some strange abilities. The first time he appeared was as a fraud one time, when Goku was still a child. He send some monsters into a village, and then pretended to scare them away, and demand money from the villagers for helping them. Later on Tien and Chiaotzu betrayed Tsurusennin and joined with Goku and the rest of the Z Fighters.

- Piccolo:   Piccolo is from Planet Namek and is the son of Katatsu.  He was sent to earth by his father because of some weather conditions on Namek.  Upon arrival on earth, Piccolo split himself into two Piccolos, a good one and a bad one.  The good Piccolo became the Kami-sama and stayed at the Heavenly Palace with Mr. Popo, while the bad Piccolo (named Piccolo Daimaou) and his minions attacked and enslaved the earth, but was later trapped inside a rice cooker by Mutaito-sama, Tsurusennin's mentor, and Kamesennin, and thrown into the sea.  Later on he was released by King Pilaf, and again tried to attack the earth, but was defeated by Goku.  Before Piccolo died, he used up the last of his strength to create another Piccolo (Piccolo Jr, later referred to as Piccolo).  Later on Piccolo Jr was also defeated by Goku, but Goku spared him.  Years later Goku and Piccolo declared a truce between each other because there was a greater enemy to be fought.  Radditz had come to earth.  After Goku died, Piccolo began training Gohan.  Gohan had great respect for Piccolo as a mentor.

- Krillin:     Krillin originated from a temple called "Ouringi".  He first appreared in Dragon Ball Z as a short monk who wanted to be a student of Kamesennin.  He wanted it so much that he bribed Kamesennin with an adult magazine.  Krillin's first death took place during the Piccolo Daimaou saga, but was revived by the Dragon Balls.   Krillin's second death was because of Frieza, and that triggered Goku to transform to the Super Saiyajin.  Again, Krillin was revived by the Dragon Balls.

  Krillin looked after Gohan as though he was his own son.  Before the Cell saga, Krillin had a girlfriend named Maron, but they broke up because Krillin thought that she wouldn't like him if he didn't bring her back a certain pearl.  Afterwards, Krillin fell in love with Android 18, and it was he who defended her when Cell spit her out and Krillin's friends wanted to kill her.  Krillin and Android 18 ended up getting together and had a daughter who he named Marron after his old girlfriend.

- Nail:   Nail is A Namick he was bron on Pleant Namcik when Gohan Krillion and Bulma Went out to Look For the D-Ball's at Namick They Met up with a Young Boy Named Dende and when they Went to Get the D-ball From the Eldest Naamick Guru They Met Nail there and Nail Helped them With there adventuer But Freeza Was there So Nail Faught Freeza a Hust Him Realy Bad and then Freeza Left and Piccolo cam From King Ki's Place To Namick and Fused With Nail....

- Android 16:   Created by Dr. Gero, Android 16 was meant to serve in the Red Ribbon Army. He was very powerful, and fully mechanical, unlike androids 17 and 18 who were human-based. #16 was a peaceful android. He didn't like to fight unless he had to, and he didn't like to talk too much. He was programmed from the start to kill Goku. Android 16 was stronger than 17 and 18, and fought alongside them until he encountered Cell, and was severely damaged by Cell. Bulma and Dr. Briefs repaired him and reprogrammed him to fight on the side of good, rather than evil. Afterwards, in a second battle with Cell, his head was crushed, and he died. His death made Gohan so furious, that it triggered his hidden powers, and enabled him to go to Super Saiya-jin level 2. Android 16 couldn't be brought back to life, because he was an android, and when they wished for all the humans that were killed by Cell to be brought back to life, he wasn't included.

- Android 17:   Android 17 was also created by Dr. Gero, and his mission was to kill Goku. He didn't like it, but he didn't mind so much because he thought it was okay to have a goal in life. He believes that he is the most powerful being in the world, when in reality he isn't. He just doesn't want to believe there are stronger beings. Cell needed Android 17 in order to transform into second-stage Cell. After Cell absorbed him, #17 was never seen again until the end of DragonBall Z.

- Android 18:   Android #18 is the twin sister of Android #17, and was also created by Dr. Gero. Her mission was the same as her brother's, which was to kill Goku. #18 is a very strong android. So strong in fact, that she actually defeated Vegeta once! Cell needed both #17 and #18 in order to transform into his perfect form, and he actually managed to consume #18, but he spit her back out later on. During the battle with Cell, Krillin had saved her life, because he had a crush on her, and she didn't appreciate it so much at the time. Later on was when her appreciation had increased when Krillin wished to Shenlon for the bombs inside her and her brother to be removed. She and Krillin ended up getting married later on, and had a daughter named Marron (named after Krillin's ex-girlfriend).

- Android 19:   Android #19 was another android created by Dr. Gero. Dr. Gero believed this was his best android because he was the only one that didn't turn against him. Android #19's mission was to kill Goku as well. After Dr. Gero had created #19, then #19 modified Dr. Gero to turn him into Android #20. Android #19 had the ability to absorb the energy of his enemies. He was able to do this through the holes in the palms of his hands. When #19 and Goku confronted each other, #19 won easily because at that time Goku had just had a heart attack, and was still recovering. Before #19 killed Goku, Vegeta showed up and challenged #19, and during the fight turned into Super Saiya-jin 1 and won the fight.

- Freeza:   Frieza was the second villain in DBZ. Many years ago, he took over planet Vegeta and enslaved all the Saiyans. A Saiyan named Bardock rebelled against him when he learned that Frieza was going to destroy all the Saiyans. Frieza killed Bardock and all his friends, and shot a massive fireball that destroyed planet Vegeta, killing all the Saiyans. Where Frieza comes into play in DBZ mainly is on Namek, where he was trying to collect all 7 Dragonballs to wish for eternal life. He actually managed to collect all 7 of them, but he didn't know how to summon the dragon, and he didn't know that all the wishes had to be made in the Namekian language. Later on, in the battle of Frieza against Piccolo, Krillin, Gohan, Vegeta, and Goku, Frieza first killed Vegeta, and then killed Krillin. Goku was so mad because of his best friend's (Krillin) death that he finally transformed into a Super Saiyan. Frieza was so scared, and knew he couldn't win, so he used the energy ball that he uses to destroy planets, and shot it at Namek. The planet was about to explode, and Frieza and Goku were still fighting. Frieza managed to power up to 100% of his fourth form, but Super Saiyan Goku was still much more powerful than him. Goku managed to beat him, and escape Planet Namek and left Frieza there. Frieza died in the explosion.

- Cell:   Cell was originally Dr. Gero's Android #21. At the time, he was in his last form, and needed Android #17 and #18 to bond with them to become Perfect Cell. Cell had all the abilities the Z Fighters had because Dr. Gero recorded everyone's DNA and put them in Cell, so that enabled him to do everything everyone else can do and more. Cell eventually caught up with Android #17 and #18, and evolved to his perfect form. Later on, in a battle, Gohan was almost defeating Cell, so Cell tried self-destructing, but right before exploding, he was teleported to the Kaiousama's place. Cell regenerated his energy, and killed Goku, Kaiousama, Bubbles, and Gregory. He then also killed Future Trunks and Android #16. Gohan was furious because of their deaths, and that triggered his ability to go to SSJ2. After transforming to SSJ2, Gohan was able to defeat Cell.

- Nappa:   Nappa was Prince Vegeta's assistant since the time when Vegeta was very young. Nappa and Vegeta went from planet to planet, destroying them, and preparing them for Frieza. Nappa had seeds that when planted in the earth, they would grow into Saibamen. Nappa's Saibamen managed to kill Yamcha before they were destroyed by Krillin. Both Tien and Chiaotzu were killed by Nappa in battle. The one person who did defeat Nappa was Goku, and Vegeta killed Nappa for not doing what he told him. Later on, Nappa came back to life because somehow the gates of Hell were opened, and Nappa managed to escape. Nappa tried to kill Vegeta, but Vegeta just killed him again.

- Majin Buu:   Majin Buu was created by Bibidy. Not only is he the most powerful and indestructable of all the DBZ villains, but his personailities also seemed boundless. Buu is capable of absorbing his enemies and their powers as well. Every time he absorbs an enemy, his looks also change, and he looks like the person he absorbed. When he first appeared, he was really fat, because he had absorbed someone that looked like that. Later on, the thin Buu appeared, and it's not known who he absorbed to obtain that figure. The thin Buu absorbed the fat Buu, forming Majin Buu. Then, when Vegetto released the fat Buu, the true Buu is revealed. The true Buu is a younger version of Majin Buu. Majin Buu's encounter with Mr. Satan was very interesting. Mr. Satan was plotting to kill Buu, without Buu knowing it, but his plan failed. Satan had actually managed to unveil Majin Buu's good side. The evil thin Buu was revealed when the fat Buu was angered when Mr. Satan was fatally wounded. Later, the fat Buu joined the Z-Fighters fighting the true Buu after Goku released him from the true Buu. After some battles, Goku finally decided to form a massive Genki-Dama, and the gigantic power blast finally destroyed Buu. The true Buu is later reincarnated into a young boy named Uubu. As for the fat Buu, he stayed with Satan and is called Mr. Buu. The Dragonballs were used to erase the people's memory of the evil things that the fat Buu had done. In the Tenkaichi Budoukai, Mr. Satan devised a plan which made him the winner. He ordered Buu to defeat the other contestants, and then asked Buu to pretend to lose to Mr. Satan.

- Garlic Jr.: Garlic Junior's evil is disproportionate to his size. An elfish creature of puny stature, Garlic has only one goal in mind: to become the ruler of Earth. This desire is in his genes. Garlic Junior's father, Garlic Senior, tried to steal the role of Earth's Guardian from Kami ages ago. Fortunately, Kami prevented this disaster from happening. When the young Garlic tries the same stunt, the Z Warriors are standing by to send this villain to prison in the Dead Zone. Garlic escapes with vengeance on his mind and Black Water Mist in his hand, a devilish toxin that turns heroes into zombies. With his henchmen, the nefarious Spice Boys, Garlic Junior once again tries to take over the Earth. Garlic Junior draws his strength from the Makyo Star. Garlic becomes more dangerous as this star comes closer to Earth. At his most powerful, Garlic Junior is able to transform into a monstrous giant. ..
