This is a listing and description of some of Trunks's closest friends.

Gohan
|
Gohan is Mirai Trunks's only friend. In the future, there was a big fight between the androids and the Z Fighters. Everyone was killed in the fight except for Gohan. Trunks and Gohan became friends. They trained together. Gohan tried to teach Trunks how to turn into a Super Saiyan. Trunks got close a couple of times, but he could never quite make the transformation. They often fought against the androids together, even though Trunks didn't even stand a chance. Gohan saved Trunks's life several times. One time, Gohan went to fight the androids. Trunks wanted to come along, but Gohan told him not to. To make sure he didn't follow him, Gohan knocked Trunks out. He went to fight the androids alone. He had saved Trunks for the last time. Trunks woke up later and went to find Gohan. He found him dead on the ground. This was too much for Trunks. He was so angry that he turned into a Super Saiyan. He had lost his only friend.

Goten
|
Goten is Chibi Trunks's best friend. Goten is Chichi's and Goku's second son. He looks just like his father. He is a very sweet boy and he has his father's innocence. Trunks leads Goten into a lot of trouble with his schemes and plans. Goten doesn't seem to mind, though. He lets Trunks boss him around. He doesn't seem to mind following Trunks with all of his crazy plans. He takes all of Trunks's teasing. I think that Goten looks up to Trunks, even though he's only a year older than him. They fight side by side, and they even fuse together to form Gotenks. They are inseperable best friends, and they remain that way throughout the whole series.

Tapion

In Dragon Ball Z movie 13, Trunks meets a guy named Tapion. Tapion is a warrior who got trapped in a box with a monster named Hildegarn. Gohan recieved this box from an old man. Once it is opened, Tapion warns everyone of the terrible monster that has been unleashed on the Earth. Trunks becomes very good friends with Tapion. After Goku kills the monster, Tapion leaves. Before he leaves, he gives his sword to Trunks. This is kind of strange because the sword looks exactly like the one Mirai Trunks has.
