Disclaimer: I do not own Dragon Ball Z or Pokémon in any way, shape, or form. I am simply writing about them.
Author's Note: I don't know if my use of times in this story is correct, and I really don't care. I'm just using the times so that you can know that when stuff is happening without me having to say "at the same time" or "a minute later" all of the time. (How many times did I say the word "time" in that sentence? Like it really matters...) Also, Ash says that he saves the world twice. Yes, I know that he saves it three times, but Mewtwo erased his memory of the first time, so he only remembers two times.
Warning: This is not a great story. I wouldn't say it's terrible (compared to some of the stuff I've seen), but it's still pretty bad. It's filled with a shallow plot, trite sayings, and bad humor. If you can call it humor. You might as well call this "Beedrill's Revenge." Half of the reason I wrote this was because I wanted to "get back" at Cell for killing Trunks. The other half of the reason I wrote this was because I had noticed certain similarities between these characters and I just wanted to write this. (I drew a terrible picture, as well.) Yes, I know that the DBZ gang and Cell could defeat a group of Pokémon any day. I'm wasn't trying to be realistic, I was trying to be funny. I wrote this a long time ago, and I'd like to think my writing's improved since then. I'm leaving it because, for some reason, some people seem to like it. If this sort of thing floats your boat, fine. But you have been properly warned; if you proceed it is at your own risk. I will not be held responsible for any brain damage that might ensue.

DAY 1; 9:30 PM
It was dark outside, but lights illuminated the sign above the city gate. Ash Ketchum stared up at it in relief. They had been walking for weeks. "Welcome to Ecruteak City," he read aloud. "Well, we've finally made it!" He smiled down at his best friend. "Let's get a good rest, Pikachu. We've got a big day tomorrow!"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu couldn't wait. He loved a good gym battle.

"Come on," Brock said. He was holding a map. "The map says that the Pokémon Center is right over here. We can sleep there tonight." Ash and Misty followed Brock.

"Prrrrrri," yawned Misty's baby Pokémon. Misty smiled at it.

"Don't worry, Togepi. You'll get to sleep soon."

They got to the Pokémon Center. Brock ran to the counter.

"Hello, Nurse Joy! I must say that you are looking very beautiful tonight. Would you like to get together and have lunch sometime?" Joy stared at Brock. A sweatdrop appeared on her head. Misty grabbed Brock's ear and dragged him away. Ash had a sweatdrop similar to Joy's.

"Don't mind him. He's always like that," Ash explained. "We'd like to stay here for the night. Is there any room?"

"Oh, yes. Just make yourself at home! You'll find everything you need back there." Nurse Joy pointed down a hallway.

"Thank you." Ash called to his friends and they went down the hall. They found a room with a bunch of bunk beds in it. Ash climbed into a top one and immediately fell asleep. It had been a while since he had slept in a bed.

DAY 1; 9:30 PM
Gohan law awake on his back. He couldn't sleep. His mind was focused on something else. The tournament. It would be tomorrow. What's going to happen? Gohan thought. Dad said that he wasn't strong enough to take down Cell. And if he can't, then nobody can. But, he's been acting so calm these last few days. He even turned down a chance to train for another year in the hyperbolic time chamber! He must have some secret weapon. But what? Gohan turned over. I have to get to sleep.

Gohan wasn't the only one in the house who wasn't asleep. Goku was also awake. He lay on his side and stared at his sleeping wife. He knew she wouldn't like what he was going to do the next day. She was set against letting Gohan fight. But he's the only one who can beat Cell, Goku thought. I've seen it. He has the potential. He can beat Cell. I know it! "I'm sorry, Chichi," Goku whispered. "Gohan has to fight tomorrow. He's the best chance we have. Please forgive me." He leaned over and kissed her on the cheek.

DAY 2; 8:00 AM
Ash woke up, stretched, and yawned. He looked around. Misty and Brock were still asleep. So was Pikachu. He woke Pikachu up and took him to the front desk. Nurse Joy was sitting behind it reading the morning paper. "Hi, Nurse Joy," Ash greeted.

Nurse Joy looked up from her paper. "Oh, hello. Is there something I can do for you?"

Ash placed Pikachu on the counter. He spread his Poké Balls out on the counter as well. "I'm going to the gym today to have a match. Could you heal up my Pokémon so that they'll be in top shape?"

"Sure." Nurse Joy took Ash's Pokémon to a back room. "A tone will sound when you're Pokémon are ready," she said when she returned.

"Thanks!" Joy returned to her paper. Ash walked back down the hall and found the showers. He took a warm shower and put on the clothes that he had thrown in the washer the night before. He went to the bedroom, but Misty and Brock weren't there. They're probably in the kitchen, he thought. Ash went to the small kitchen and found his friends eating breakfast. He joined them.

DAY 2; 8:00 AM
Gohan waited impatiently for the man named Hercuole to fight Cell. Who was this guy, anyway?

DAY 2; 8:00 AM
Tom woke up in his home in Nevada. He walked downstairs and flipped on the TV. His favorite show would come on in an hour.

DAY 2; 9:00 AM
Ash watched Morty, the gym leader, take out a Poké Ball. "Go, Haunter!" Morty threw the ball at the ground. It opened. A purple ghost Pokémon appeared in a spectacular flash of red light. Ash was a bit scared. He knew how tricky ghost Pokémon could be.

"I choose you, Pikachu!" Ash thrust out his arm and pointed straight ahead of him. Pikachu ran out onto the battle field. Which attack should I use first? wondered Ash.

"There's the twerp, having another battle," sighed Jessie. She was peeking through a window of the gym with James and Meowth. "How long do you think the gym leader is going to last this time?"

"What? You're not even giving the gym leader a chance?" asked Meowth.

"What's the point? That twerp is practically invincible," answered James.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. So, how are we gonna' try to steal Pikachu this time?"

"It's your turn to come up with a plan, Meowth," Jessie said.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot."

DAY 2; 9:00 AM
That's it, Dad. Just stay one step ahead of him. Gohan silently urged his dad on. Cell and Goku flew up into the air. They floated there silently, just staring at each other. What's he going to do next? Gohan watched his father and Cell. He hoped that his dad would win soon.

DAY 2; 9:01 AM
"Hey! I was watching that!" yelled Tom. His older brother, Jake, had changed the cannel on the television.

"Whatever," answered Jake. He stared at the screen. Cell and Goku flew high into the air and did nothing. "Go, Goku!" The screen switched to a picture of Pikachu. "Aaaaack!" Jake yelled. Tom had changed the channel back to Pokémon.

"I don't want to watch Dragon Ball Z. It's boring," said Tom.

"Boring?! It's anything but boring!" exclaimed his brother as he changed the channel once more.

Tom picked up his remote control. "Pokémon," he declared as he changed the channel.

"DBZ," said Jake, using his own remote control to change the channel back to Dragon Ball Z. Why do we have two remote controls? he wondered.

"Pokémon!"

"DBZ!"

"Pokémon!"

"DBZ!"

"Pokémon!"

"DBZ!"

"Pokémon!"

"DBZ!"

The channel changed with each mention of Pokémon or DBZ. Smoke came out of the back of the TV and it started to smell funny. Tom and Jake didn't notice. They were too engrossed in their fight. Suddenly, the television turned off. It snapped, crackled, and popped.

"Great, now look what you did!" yelled Tom. The TV sizzled.

"Me? I think not, little bro. You are the one to blame."

Their father came in and yawned. "What was all the yelling about, guys? You weren't fighting, were you?"

Jake and Tom pointed at each other. "He broke the TV," they said simultaneously.

"Again? I tell ya'. You boys have broken this thing so many times. It's a wonder it hasn't melted yet." He turned the TV around and reached for a pack of tools sitting nearby. He had learned how to fix TVs so that he wouldn't have to take the TV into the shop each time his kids broke it. "Now let's see here," he muttered.

DAY 2; 9:01 AM
Ash felt a tingle run through out his body. "Woah," he said. He looked at Pikachu. Pikachu turned around and looked at him. He looked scared.

"Pika pi?"

"I don't know what's going on, Pikachu," Ash told Pikachu. As Ash watched, Pikachu disappeared and a boy about his age took the Pokémon's place. Pikachu reappeared. Ash turned to Misty and Brock. Misty was holding on tight to a crying Togepi.

Brock saw Ash looking at him. He saw the question in his eyes. "I don't know," Brock said. Suddenly, Ash wasn't in the gym anymore. He was in the air, facing a green monster. He was about to say something, but he was back in the gym again. "Ash, what happened?" asked Brock. Ash was too scared to say anything.

Outside, similar things were happening to Team Rocket. Jessie and James hugged each other the way they always do when they're scared.

DAY 2; 9:01 AM
Cell watched Goku. He'd be making his move any time now, and he had to be ready for it. As he watched, Goku started to shimmer. Interesting, thought Cell. What's he doing?

Goku felt like he was about to perform his Instant Transmission technique. But, I never called on it! What's happening? Goku was frantic. He looked down to his son and his friends. They looked very small. He was pretty high up. He looked back to Cell, but Cell wasn't there. He wasn't in the air anymore, either.

Cell's eyes almost popped out of his head. He wasn't looking at Goku anymore. He was looking at a young boy. The boy looked at Cell and disappeared. Goku was there again. Cell was confused. "What kind of attack is that?" he yelled. "Tell me. How do you do that?"

Goku just shrugged. He wanted to know how he did that as well.

DAY 2; 9:02 AM
"Get off of me, Brat!" yelled Vegeta. He shoved Trunks away from him. They had been hugging. How did that happen? Vegeta looked around. They were standing next to a building. He looked into a nearby window. There were the others. What was going on?

Trunks looked at his father and blushed. He tried not to laugh. "Uh... Father?"

"What is it, Boy?" asked Vegeta.

Krillin, who was outside with Trunks and Vegeta, looked at Vegeta and rolled on the ground with laughter.

"What are you laughing at Catman?" asked an angry Vegeta. He was right to call Krillin a catman. He had strap-on whiskers and ears. He was also wearing a cat suit with a tail. Krillin didn't answer Vegeta and continued to laugh. Vegeta was about to blast Krillin, but Trunks stopped him.

"Er... Father? It's your... outfit," Trunks explained. Vegeta looked down and cursed. He was wearing a white shirt with a big "R" on it. The shirt didn't even reach his middle. He had a smaller, black shirt on under the white one. He had an extremely short skirt on. He was also wearing long black boots and gloves. He looked at his son and saw that he was wearing something similar. But he had pants, longer shirts, and shorter boots and gloves.

"Aaaaaaargh!"

Trunks almost laughed. He looked through the window of the building and saw Goku, Yamcha, Gohan, and Piccolo inside. "Come on," he said. "I see the others inside. Let's go." Trunks started to walk around the building to find a door. Krillin followed him. "Father, you coming?"

Vegeta glared at Trunks. "You think I'm going to let Kakarrot see me in this?"

"OK, fine. Stay out here."

Inside the gym, Goku was checking out his new surroundings. His son was standing in front of him, wearing a yellow suit. He had a hood with long yellow ears that ended in black tips. The costume also had a tail that looked like a lightening bolt. "Dad!" called Gohan. He ran to his father. "I'm glad you're here. I'm confused."

"It's OK, Gohan. We'll figure this out." Gohan looked at his father. He wasn't wearing his orange gi. He had blue jeans, a black shirt, and a blue jacket on instead. He had green gloves with finger holes and a red and white hat as well. Gohan looked past his father and saw Yamcha and Piccolo. Gohan laughed hysterically when he saw his mentor. Goku turned around to see what his son was laughing about. "Piccolo!" Goku laughed with Gohan. A sweatdrop appeared on the back of Piccolo's head.

"Stop laughing at me," Piccolo growled. They stopped. They had to try hard to do so. Piccolo was wearing short denim shorts, and a small, yellow sleeveless shirt with red suspenders. He looked so funny. Yamcha had on brown pants, an orange shirt, and a green vest.

Morty and his Haunter just stared at the scene. "What's going on?" he finally asked.

Goku turned around. "Oh, hi. Um, I really don't know!" Goku answered.

"Ok, ya' know, I really don't care. I just want my Pokémon battle." Haunter nodded in agreement.

"A battle? OK. Are you sure you want to fight me?"

"No, I don't want to fight you. I want my Haunter to fight your Pikachu! I want the Pokémon to fight! That's why it's called a Pokémon battle!"

"What's a Pokémon?"

"That!" yelled an exasperated Morty, pointing at Gohan.

"No, he's my son."

"OK, fine! The Pikachu is your son. Whatever. Let's just get this thing started. Haunter, use your Lick attack!" Haunter flew over to Gohan and licked him. Gohan got a funny feeling. Once the feeling was gone, he felt weaker.

"OK, Gohan. I guess you have to fight that purple thing there," Goku instructed. Gohan ran to Haunter and punched him. His hand went right through Haunter. Morty laughed.

"You can't beat a ghost Pokémon like that. Haunter, another Lick!" Haunter licked Gohan again. Trunks and Krillin entered the gym and joined Yamcha and Piccolo. They didn't comment on Piccolo's outfit. Piccolo was glad. Trunks's gaze fell on Gohan.

"What's going on?"

"Gohan is fighting some purple thing," explained Yamcha. "I think that its name is Haunter." They watched the fight.

DAY 2; 9:02 AM
Ash found himself in the air staring at the green monster again. He reached for his Pokédex in his jacket pocket, but he didn't have his jacket on. Instead, he was wearing an orange suit. "What kind of Pokémon," Ash started. He never finished his sentence. He realized he was falling. "Aaaaaaaaaahhh!" he yelled as he plummeted to the Earth. Cell watched him fall.

"What just happened?" asked Misty. She felt something heavy on her shoulders. She looked and saw that they supported a white cape that flowed with the small breeze. She was also wearing a purple suit. Pikachu was standing next to her. He was wearing the same outfit. She looked around and saw Brock, Team Rocket, and a bald guy with three eyes. She held Togepi close to her. "Where's Ash?!" she asked.

Brock turned his head. He was standing next to Meowth. They were wearing the same orange suit. He looked everywhere but up. "I don't know," he said.

"Oh, no!" gasped Misty. "What could have happened to him?"

Meowth ran to Jessie and James who, being the fashion and style freaks that they are, were examining their new outfits. They were wearing the same thing. "I like them James! Much better than our Team Rocket uniforms!"

"I agree," said James. He liked the blue spandex and the boots and gloves. The chest protector was pretty neat, too.

Well, I just hope that Ash is safe, thought Misty. She heard yelling above her. She looked up and saw Ash falling. "Ash! Use Noctowl!" Misty yelled. Ash smacked his head. Duh! Why hadn't he thought of that? He reached for Noctowl's Poké Ball. Luckily, he still had his Pokémon with him. He threw the Poké Ball and Noctowl emerged.

"Noctowl, help me!" Noctowl flew over to Ash, and he grabbed onto his talons. Noctowl flew Ash safely to the ground. Misty let out a sigh of relief. Ash ran over to her. "Thanks for the idea, Misty!"

Misty smiled. "No problem!" she said.

"And thank you, Noctowl." Noctowl hooted and landed on Ash's shoulder.

Cell slowly lowered himself to the ground. When he landed, he walked over to Ash. "I don't know what's going on here, and from the look on your face, neither do you. Just answer me this. Who are you?"

"I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town. Who are you?"

"I am Cell."

"I've never heard of a Pokémon called Cell. Have you, Misty?" Misty shook her head. "Brock?"

"Nope," said Brock.

"Then you must be rare. I'm going to capture you."

Cell looked at Ash. "Capture me?"

"Yes."

"I can't be captured."

"Oh," said Ash, sounding very disappointed.

"But I'll let you battle with me.

"Really? Cool!" Ash was happy again.

"You will battle with me for the fate of the world! If you lose this battle, I will destroy the planet!" Cell laughed an evil laugh. He watched Ash and looked for the expression of fear on his face that he loved so much. But it never came.

"You mean I have to save the world again? It's getting kind of old," complained Ash.

If Cell had had eyebrows, he would have raised one. "You've saved the world before?"

"Yeah. Twice!" Ash didn't look scared. He just looked annoyed. This made Cell very angry.

"Well, Kid, I don't know what you did, but you obviously didn't face a being as strong as me!"

Ash yawned. "Yeah, whatever." This remark made Cell so angry that he started to glow with a yellow light.

"Hey, Ash. This guy is really strong and I'd suggest not fighting him. He'd cream you! You'd lose within the first five seconds!"

Ash turned around and saw a bald guy with three eyes. The extra eye freaked him out a bit. "Who are you?" he asked.

"My name's Tien."

"Well, Tien, you don't have to worry. I've trained my team very well, and they've come to expect just about everything." Ash turned to Cell. "OK, Cell. Are you ready?"

"Yes, Squirt. Come, to the ring." Ash and Cell stepped up onto a stone floor.

"I'll start with Noctowl." Noctowl flew off of Ash's shoulder and into the sky.

"What?" Cell was confused.

"Noctowl, use Peck! And show no mercy!" Noctowl flew over and landed on Cell's head. He pecked Cell's head as hard as he could.

"OOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUCH!" screamed Cell. He reached up to his head and tried to pull the bird Pokémon off. But Noctowl had grabbed on tight and couldn't be moved. He wanted to blast the creature, but if he did that, he'd blast his head, too. He could regenerate it, but during the time that he was headless, that wimp would be able to get rid of his whole body. Cell did the only thing he could do. He ran around in little circles, waving his arms, and screaming while Noctowl pecked away at his head.

DAY 2; 9:20 AM
Goku looked at his son out on the battle field. He was lying on the ground, showing no signs of getting up. "Haunter, you won!" he heard Morty say. Goku turned around to look at his friends. Krillin and Trunks were there now.

"Hey, Krillin, you got any Senzu beans?"

"Let me check." Krillin dug into a pocket in his cat suit. He pulled out a little bag. He took a small bean from the bag and threw it to Goku.

"Thanks." Goku ran over to Gohan and stuffed the bean in his mouth. Gohan got up seconds later. He looked at Morty and Haunter. How did that purple blob beat him? His kicks and punches always went right through the creature. His Kamehamehas had damaged it some, but the thing just wouldn't be beat. Morty called Haunter back into it's Poké Ball. "Now what do I do?" asked Goku.

"You have to send out another Pokémon!" replied Morty, sounding very annoyed.

"OK, Gohan, it looks like you have to fight again."

"No, you can't send out the same one! I already beat the Pikachu."

"Oh, well, I don't have another one."

"Yes you do! It's right over there!" Morty pointed at Krillin.

"OK, Krillin. You're a Pokémon now. You have to go fight for me!"

"Are you kidding? Did you see what that thing did to Gohan? Why don't you fight for yourself?"

Goku turned to Morty. "I'll fight!"

"No! You can't fight! You're not a Pokémon!"

"Oh. How do I get to be one?"

Morty let out a loud yell. "You don't get to be a Pokémon! You're either born one, or you're not!"

"Krillin! He says that only you can fight him. Please fight him?"

"No way! Besides, don't you think we have more important things to think about?"

"Like what?"

"Like why we're here! Or how we got here!"

"Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. Um, Mister? Krillin doesn't want to fight right now. So now what do I do?"

"Do you have any more Pokémon?" asked Morty through clenched teeth.

"Uh, no. I don't think so."

"Then you lose. Get out of my gym." Morty's teeth were still clenched. He was trying to keep calm.

"What? You mean, that's it?"

Morty forgot about trying to be calm. "GET OUT! ALL OF YOU! NOW!"

"Well, OK... come on guys." Goku and the gang left the gym. They sat down on a bench that was stationed right outside. "That guy was kind of mean. So, how did we get here?" asked Goku. Nobody said anything.

"Honestly, Kakarrot," came a familiar voice from around the corner of the building. "Why are you so stupid?"

"Well, I can't help it. But, I'll bet you don't know how we got here, either."

"Of course I do! Unlike you, I have a little something that I like to call a brain."

"Hey!" Goku got up and walked towards Vegeta's voice.

"Kakarrot! Don't you even think about coming back here!"

"Why not?" asked Goku.

"Because if you do, I'll... I'll... I'll kill you!"

Goku just chuckled. Trunks stood up. "Uh... Goku? Please don't go."

"Why not? Vegeta can't kill me."

Trunks looked at the ground. "I know that. But just... just don't."

"Don't worry about me, Trunks," said Goku. He continued on. A ki blast greeted him when he rounded the corner. Goku redirected it and it flew harmlessly into the sky. Then he saw Vegeta. "Oh, Vegeta, you look pretty!" joked Goku. He fell to the ground laughing. The others heard Goku's laughter and ran to see what was so funny. They all laughed just as hard as Goku when they saw Vegeta.

Trunks was left to sit on the bench with Krillin. Poor Father, he thought. They heard a lot of yelling from Vegeta and they saw a lot of light flashes. A while later they all came back to the bench. Vegeta came and leaned against the gym, crossing his arms and furrowing his eyebrows more than usual.

"So, you said that you know how we got here?" asked Gohan, striking up a conversation.

Vegeta gave an evil smirk. "Yes, that's right. It's quite simple, really. We switched universes and ended up playing someone else's role."

"Huh?" Vegeta's smirk grew when Goku said this.

Gohan understood fully. All of that studying that his mom was making him do was paying off. "So, how do you think we switched universes?" he asked.

Vegeta glared at him. "Something really big and catastrophic."

"Huh?" asked Goku. He was hungry.

"So, it'll take a big catastrophic event to get us back to our own universe?"

"You must have gotten your brains from your mom, because Kakarrot obviously has none."

Gohan took that as a yes. "But when will that happen?"

"Who knows? It might not happen at all. We could be stuck here forever." Gohan shivered.

"What's he talking about, Gohan?"

"Something switched our universe and this one. Now we're playing the roles of some of the people from this universe, and those people are playing our roles." Gohan hoped that his dad would understand this. He didn't know how else to explain it.

"So, there's some people back home pretending to be us?" asked Goku.

"Yes," Gohan confirmed.

"Oh, no! I was fighting Cell! The person pretending to be me is in big trouble! We gotta' get back!"

"Didn't you hear me, Kakarrot? Or are you deaf? There's nothing we can do to get back. Whatever forced us here must force us back."

DAY 2; 9:20 AM
"OK, Noctowl, I think that's enough." Noctowl stopped pecking Cell and returned to Ash's shoulder.

Cell stopped running around in circles and sat down, holding his head. He had the worst migraine headache ever. Almost everything he did made it worse. He was about to cry, but he held back the tears. I am Cell! The strongest being in the universe! I can't cry! Trying not to cry hurt his head a lot, so he let the tears escape.

Tien couldn't believe his eyes. Was Cell crying? Yes! Yes he was! Tien got over his shock and yelled to Ash. "To destroy him, you have to destroy every part of him. He can regenerate himself if you leave an arm, a leg, even a single finger!"

"OK," Ash yelled back. He looked at Cell. He almost felt kind of sorry for him. Almost. He pulled out two Poké Balls and threw them into the air. "Bulbasaur, Chikorita! Go! Pikachu, you get out here, too!"

Pikachu threw off his big, heavy cape and ran into the ring from the sidelines. "Pikachu," he said, announcing that he was ready.

Cell slouched. Why did that twerp have to yell? He didn't have to yell. Yelling made his headache so much worse. Cell tried to stand up, but it made his head scream in pain. He tried to gather energy to blast the annoying little brat with, but this caused his head to feel like two dozen sharp knives were being stuck through it. He stopped abruptly. So this was how it was going to end. He would be brought down by cute little animals. How pathetic, he thought. Cell was about to shout something at Ash but remembered how much yelling hurt his head. He decided to keep his mouth shut.

Bulbasaur, Chikorita, and Pikachu lined up. Pikachu was in between Bulbasaur and Chikorita. "OK, Bulbasaur and Chikorita, get powered up. You're going to need to use Solar Beam," Ash commanded. Bulbasaur and Chikorita gathered sunlight. "Pikachu, get ready to unleash the biggest Thunderbolt you've ever used." Pikachu nodded. Sparks flew out of his cheeks. Bulbasaur and Chikorita inched away from Pikachu. "OK, guys. You are going to combine your Solar Beams to make them extra strong. Pikachu, send the Thunderbolt with the Solar Beam to give Cell an extra shock. Attack when you are ready."

Great. I'm going to get an extra shock. Cell tried to get up again, but his head wouldn't permit him. He tried to put up an energy shield, but that hurt too much. He just sat there, waiting for his doom and hoping that the end would be short.

Chikorita and Bulbasaur aimed their Solar Beams into the air at an angle. They combined and then headed towards Cell. "PIKACHUUUUUU!" Pikachu let loose a Thunderbolt. It joined with the Solar Beam. The combined attacks hit Cell and he died instantly. Each of his cells were incinerated.

"You did it!" yelled Ash when it was all over. He gathered his Pokémon in his arms for a big group hug. He turned to Tien. "See? Nothing to it."

Tien just stood staring at the spot where Cell had been seconds before. He was speechless.

"Yay, Ash!" yelled Misty. "Now that that's over with, let's solve the problem that's been on everybody's minds since we got here."

"What would that be?" James asked. Everybody stared at James.

"You have to be kidding," said Meowth. "You know, the problem of how we got here?"

"Oh, I know how we got here. I didn't think that was a problem." Everybody stared at James again.

"How?" asked Brock.

"We switched universes and ended up other peoples' shoes. The people we are playing are similar to us in certain ways. You, your name is Tien, right?"

"Yes."

"OK, Tien. How do I resemble the person I replaced?"

"Well, you both have long, purple hair, I guess."

"Good. Now, tell me about the person who Jessie replaced."

"Well, he's always mean and cranky. He always has a bad attitude and is never in a good mood."

"That's Jessie exactly!"

A vein shape appeared on Jessie's forehead. She pulled out her mallet and whacked James with it.

"What about me?" Meowth asked Tien.

"Well, you don't have a nose. Krillin doesn't have a nose, either. And Goku has almost the same hair as Ash. Same thing with Yamcha and that boy over there. I don't see a resemblance between the red-head and Piccolo, though."

"Does Piccolo have a bad temper?" asked James.

"Yeah, sometimes."

"Then that's how they got matched up."

Tien could feel something tugging on his pants. He looked down and saw Pikachu. "Pika pika?"

"Well, I don't see a resemblance here, either. Gohan is a nice boy, but a tough warrior."

"That sounds like Pikachu," said Ash.

Jessie looked at James. "How did you get to be so smart?"

"Oh, I was always this smart."

"Why didn't you ever show it?" James just put a hand behind his head and laughed.

Brock spoke up. "So how are we going to get back to our universe?"

"The same way we got to this one," said James.

"And how was that?"

"I don't know everything!" Everybody got a sweatdrop.

DAY 2; 9:25 AM
"There we go, all fixed. If you guys break it again, you will be banned from the TV for a week." Tom and Jake's dad went to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee. Tom turned on the TV. Before the picture even came on, Jake switched the channel.

"We're watching the end of Dragon Ball Z."

Tom changed the channel back. "No, we're watching the end of Pokémon."

"DBZ!"

"Pokémon!"

"DBZ!"

"Pokémon!"

"DBZ!"

"Pokémon!"

"DBZ!"

"Pokémon!"

They had another channel war. The TV blew up again. "BOYS!" yelled their father.

"He did it!" they said, both accusing the other.

DAY 2; 9:25 AM
Ash felt tingly again. The rest of them could feel it, too. Jessie and James got scared and held each other tight.

DAY 2; 9:25 AM
Goku felt weird. "Hey, Vegeta! Looks like we're going back! Yay!" Vegeta grumbled. Why did Kakarrot always have to be so cheery?

DAY 2; 9:26 AM
Ash was sitting on a bench outside of the Ecruteak City Gym. His friends were sitting there with him. So were James and Meowth. Jessie was leaning against the gym's wall. Misty, Brock, and Ash glared at Team Rocket. "Team Rocket's blasting off again!" they yelled and ran away.

"Now I'm going to get my badge." Ash went into the gym followed by Misty and Brock. "Hello? I'm here to get a gym badge," called Ash. Morty walked out of a back room. He put on a face of disgust when he saw Ash.

"Go away. I've had enough of you."

"No, I'm not leaving! I want to battle for a badge!"

"OK, OK! Fine! I'll battle you as long as you promise not to turn into that big annoying guy, OK?"

Ash was confused for a second. Then he smiled. "OK, I promise. Come on, Pikachu! We have a battle to finish!"

DAY 2; 9:26 AM
"Ergh, Brat! Why are you hugging me again?" Vegeta shoved Trunks away. Then he looked himself over. Good. He was back in his Saiyan outfit. Piccolo was also relieved to be back in his normal clothes.

Goku stood on the sidelines of the tournament ring. He looked everywhere, but Cell was nowhere to be seen. "We have a problem. Cell's gone."

Tien walked over to Goku. "You switched-"

"Universes." Goku finished Tien's sentence. "But what happened to Cell?"

"A boy about Gohan's age took your place. He used four cute animals to kill Cell."

"Cute animals?"

"Yeah. Amazing, isn't it? Those things were strong!"

"Cute animals? Those must be Pokémon! I figured out what a Pokémon is!"

"What's a Pokémon?"
