People’s
Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak |

| People’s
Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) was formed under the leadership
of R.K. Tulachandra on October 9, 1977. Although it claims to be the
"most genuine revolutionary groups" in Manipur, its main demand
has been the expulsion of outsiders. PREPAK became dormant after its
leader Tulachandra was killed in an encounter with the security forces in
1986. Following his death, S. Wanglen became the Commander-in-Chief
(C-in-C) of PREPAK. Its activists had been trained by National
Socialist Council of Nagaland–Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM). The group has a
strength of about 200 insurgents. Some of the top leaders of this group
include Urihkhinban Sarat and Meiraba Singh. At present, Achamba is the
Chairman and Tajila is the C-in-C of PREPAK. |
