Beer Review: Brooklyn East India Pale Ale
Brewed in the same fashion as the East India Pale Ale made for British soldiers serving in 19th-century India, this strong (6.9%) and hoppy beer was surprisingly smooth! This light-colored brew went down easily, with no aftertaste to speak of. Brooklyn originally made this as a summer seasonal, but they decided to serve the EIPA up as a year-round brew in 1996. I could easily see this as a summer brew, after discovering for myself how drinkable and refreshing it was. A good beer that was not too overpowering, I would recommend this to many a friend. -- Brewmeister G
