Beer Review: Gettysbrew Black Knight
Very dark in color, with a medium-to-heavy body, this was a strong brew (10%) -- as one would expect from the style. Roasted malt flavors were very evident throughout this brew! Barleywines continue to surprise me with the diversity offered within the style, as I have now had fruity, hoppy, and malty ones. Smooth, with no other really pronounced flavors, this was a good, full-flavored finishing beer for my night (Knight?) at the enjoyable Gettysbrew establishment. -- Brewmeister G
