| A great 3rd wave ska band from So Cal that will rock your socks. From the upbeat 'Round Kid' to the off-beat 'Jennifer's Cold' this CD offers feel good ska that gives you that California feeling. Most of the songs are relativily fast paced, but the record slows down for the title track, 'Tear Jerky' and the instrumental groove 'Peach Fish'. The last four tracks are by far the strongest, begining with the mellow 'Peach Fish' moving on to 'Record Store' which describes the freedom of wooking in a recored store and how it's so much better than being caught in the rat race. The next song got some well deserved radio airpaly 'My Town' is just a song that makes you feel good. Finially the album wraps up with 'Little Pain Inside' which is a fun song that deals with the monstrous task of chosing a place to eat. Overall, this is a solid record that will give you the feeling that you're in a laid back little town in southern California. So if you need a vacation, pick up Twenty-Eight Teeth. Rating: 7 |
