Delta Airlines N812DE (48601/562) Del. 04/08/1996 'The Centennial Spirit'
In my opinion this is the second most beautiful color scheme ever applied to an MD-11, my favorite being the first MD-11 for City Bird (The Green machine) as I liked to call it.
Delta had this aircraft 'The Centennial Spirit' specially painted to commemerate the 1996 Summer Olympic Games which were held at the airlines home city of Atlanta, Georgia.

Again we see 'The Centennial Spirit' but unfortunately it was stripped of its beautiful Olympic color scheme and repainted in the color scheme that the airline introduced in 1997.
The aircraft is seen on short final to Rwy 25L at LAX.

In 2000, Delta Airlines again introduced a new color scheme for the airline. The only MD-11 to receive this new look was N813DE caught on final to Rwy 25L at Los Angeles (LAX).
