Midwest Airlines MD-81 N806ME (48032/978) Del. 06/05/1981 to TAO Domestic Airlines as JA8461

Midwest Airlines has picked up a number of ex JAS MD80s during the past few years. Pictured, is N806ME arriving in Long Beach (LGB) carrying the families of the NHL New Jersy Devils Hockey team during the Stanley Cup finals in late June 2003. This was the first time the aircraft had been to Long Beach since its delivery 22 years ago.

Several of the MD-82s that Midwest Airlines operates are converted MD-81 aircraft giving them more fuel capacity and the ability to operate on some of the airlines Long Haul routes. N809ME pictured, is seen taxing full length to Rwy 24R at LAX as it readies to depart for Omaha, Nebraska.

Caught rolling out on Rwy 25L at LAX following its arrival from Milwaukee, Wisconson this Midwest aircraft is a beautiful example of the MD-88.
