For many Sega fans, seeing Sonic The Hedgehog on another console could either mean the end of Sega as we know them, or a gaming revolution with Sonic set on taking over the world!!
Sonic Advance is its early stages of development, and already it looks like the best thing to hit Nintendo's Game boy Advance. Bringing Sonic and his pals back to 2D format will have old Sonic fans cheering, myself included, and with the power of the mighty Game boy Advance and Sonic Team's excellent track record, Sonic Advance could well be Sonics best ever game, and prove more popular than Mario Advance!!
Even though Sonic Advance is in early stages, the graphics and animation looks amazing, way better than anything seen on the good old days of the Mega Drive, it really does push the Game boy Advance that little bit further!! With the chance to play as four characters, Sonic obviously, alongside Tails "Miles Prower", Knuckles The Echidna and Sonic's wannabe girl, Amy Rose, there should hopefully be variety in Gameplay, maybe with Knuckles searching for his emerald pieces, but Sonic will forever dash through levels at high speed, only this tell he'll be able to grind along as well, a new feature to Sonic games that was introduced in Sonic Adventure 2. Not much information is known about how that game will play at this stage, but it will be familiar to old Sonic fans!!
Sega has also mentioned the added bonus of a multiplayer game, although there is no information on how this will work. It is more than likely that they will play similar to Sonic 2's 2player games where 2 players dash through a level.
More information will pop up on to the pages of WN4S as Sonic Team reveal more about their little beauty!! But I'm already saving up for a copy, just to be able to play old skool Sonic again!!
