Shenmue 3 Confirmed
|
AM2 have confirmed that the Shenmue series will contiue after Shenmue 2, which is also headed for the X-Box as well as Sega's Dreamcast. It looks likely that "Shenmue 3" will also be appearing on X-Box too then!

PS2 Virtua Fighter 4 Date

The release date of the Playstation 2 version of the amzing Virtua Fighter 4 has been confirmed for March next year for the UK. With no Tekken 4 date in sight!

The House Of The Dead 3 Revealed!

Sega have finally unveiled ONE screenshot of the anticipated X-Box version of The House Of The Dead 3 - And it looks rather strange.
Judging from the screenshot, Sega have decided to replace the usual graphics with the cell shading effect first seen in Jet Set Radio and now being used in the new GameCube Zelda. The new Zelda had a barrage of complaints because of its cartoony style, and The House Of The Dead 3 seems to have gone the same way.. hmm..

Shenmue 2 IS Getting A Dreamcast Release

The latest reports of Shenmue 2 being canned in favour of an X-Box version undoubtedly shook the Sega world, but thankfully Shenmue 2 WILL be heading for the old faithful Dreamcast. The only stipulation is that it wont be released in America, only in the UK and Japan. Instead it will be available for the X-Box instead, which is on the verge of making itself known.
Shenmue 2 will hit the shelves on the 30th of November priced at £29.99. Expect a review of this amazing sequel sometime soon!

PSO And Shenmue 2 For X-Box - But Canned For Dreamcast?!

Yet more shocking announcements coming from the big cheese. This time they have confirmed that Phantasy Star Online Version 2 will be heading for X-Box, but more interesting is that Shenmue 2 will also be gracing the X-Box. The bad news? The Dreamcast version of Shenmue 2 is canned!

Skies Of Arcadia For GameCube And PS2

Overworks, the people praised for creating the amazing Skies Of Arcadia, are now bringing to both the Playstation 2 and GameCube! Though the 'Cube could do with something as nice and juicy as this amazing RPG, it will be up against the likes of Final Fantasy 10 when it makes its way to Playstation 2.
Its also been announced that Hundred Swords and Aerodancing 4 will be heading for the PS2

Sega And Microsoft In Arcade Deal

At a press conference at the Tokyo Game Show, Sega announced to the world their plans to work with Microsoft in development of an arcade board that uses the X-Box hardware, making new Sega arcade titles easy to port straight onto the X-Box. Could this be the future of Sega? Sega also confirmed that the first game to be created using the new board will be a sequel to Sega's classic Outrun.

Propeller Arena Canned For Dreamcast

The plane shooter originally intended for our beloved Dreamcast has now been canned completely, which probably has something to do with the fact you fly around in a plane shooting tall buildings.

Old Saturn Sequels?

There are heavy rumours flying around about possible sequels and updates of a host of familiar old Saturn titles, those among the list include Virtua Cop, D, Outrun and hopefully NiGHTS!!

Sonic Links Up To GameCube
|
|
Sonic Advance will be the first Game Boy Advance game to be able to link up to the GameCube via Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, the infamous Dreamcast port. This will mean that the GBA will be used as a VM for Sonic Adventure 2's Chao raising mini game. Only a much better VM with extra mini games and better graphics.
Sonic Advance and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle are due to be released in Japan on 20th December to coincide with each other. Sonic Advance is due in the UK this Christmas, but there is no news on the UK version of the GameCube's Sonic Adventure 2.
However, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle seems likely to be ready for the GameCube launch 2002, which would be very interesting to see, considering Mario wont be around anytime soon..

THQ To Publish 16 GBA Games

Sega and THQ have signed a deal to publish 16 Game Boy Advance games around 2002 and 2003 in America, though nothing has been confirmed for the UK.
These great games include Sonic Advance, Columns Crown, The House Of The Dead Pinball, the Sega Smash Pack, Puyo and Major League Baseball.

Now this is a strange one! Rumour has it that by completing Shenmue 2, a special movie will be unlocked that lets you view Shenmue running off a Saturn!
If these screenshots are real, then its pretty amazing to think of what the Saturn could really do.
