Hiztory <BODY> Press Conference May 7th 2004

Just Know This: Ok to get Started, this is an open interview to the man we know as Hiztory. He is well known through federations such as MEW, WCWO, and ARW. Some know him as Hiztory as others know him as Scuba Steve is this correct?

Louis Stiener: Correct

Just Know This: There have been speculations that you have walked away from the sport and away from your fans as well can you touch on the subject a little bit?

Louis Stiener: Actually, It's funny you brought this up, because yes I will admit, I felt I needed a break, find the love of the business again, and more importantly trim down a little bit to become more marketable.

Louis Stiener: Walk away though? I don't think I walked away from anything. I told both MEW and ARW on the same night that I needed a break, both companies were very understanding which I appreciate very much

Just Know This: So when did you decide it was time for the break? and what were some of the reasons you wanted to take a break?

Louis Stiener: I had notified the promoters a tad bit earlier than that, but didn't break it to my friends until New Years Eve. I really won't go into the reasons I needed to take a break those are down at the bottom 20 leagues under the sea

Just Know This: How do you explain it to the fans that you had especially in MEW that you took a break and you just disappeared and people wondered if you would ever come back at all

Louis Stiener: Well, to be honest I felt the fans didn't have to know, I love them, but I was just going to slip out without anybody noticing. I didn't know it would be noticed none the less become such an issue

Just Know This: Well it is an Issue, as we have noticed that a whole thread on MEW was based on you. Where do you stand with wrestling right now?

Louis Stiener: lol well I did finally notice that there was a thread on MEW message board that I was gone. I thought that was very thoughtful and it only charged me up

Louis Stiener: Well on another quick note I have still been attending wrestling matches in other federations and enjoying them, feeling I could do extremely good myself and feeling in better shape in my life I felt a spark again

Louis Stiener: Funny thing is I was looking at PCW for awhile because of my buddies the Chicago Connection and Team Dammit. Those guys inspire me when I wrestle and made me want to come back so badly

Louis Stiener: Where I stand today with wrestling... wow didn't think I would be answering this question so fast in the interview but......... As of Today I have opened my doors and will accept bookings again.... that’s right, Hiztory or Scuba Steve is back and ready to wrestle and reclaim fan favorite again

Just Know This: in your last match you wrestled Botch, Havok, Wylde Chylde, Tristin Hayze, and of course BJ, and you talk about that?

Louis Stiener: Team FirePro. Actually it was a great match, and with that match, you seen myself and my tag partner in MEW Kaleb Pierce "Tsunami" Tristin Hayze. This was the first time I have ever been in the ring with Botch or Havok before so I didn't know what to expect, all I know is that these two are well respected Chicago Wrestlers, but they knew of me, so I felt like I had to do good for them

Louis Stiener: I found out that they are everything and more that Chicago has hyped them up to be. I was eliminated by Team FirePro with all of their finishers, couldn't take me out otherwise *winks* but as everybody knows that was also a pleasure for me because I got to wrestle with some of my friends in Chase Richards, Kenny Courageous, Kaleb Pierce and Mr. Migo

Just Know This: A lot of people have been astonished by yours and Kaleb Pierce's finishing move as you call it the "Tsunami" but explain for the regulars that may read this interview but might not know what the move is.

Louis Stiener: Well the "Tsunami" or as some call it the "Wipe Out" is our team finisher. Its a version of the Spanish fly and for those that don't know what that is, its where we get the opponent on the top rope and we both get on the top rope with him and it looks like we are hooking him up for a double rock bottom then actually we do a back flip still hooked up to him and he ends up on the bottom of us on the mat for the 1...2...3... It doesn't fail

Louis Stiener: Speaking of Kaleb Pierce I haven't seen him around lately, but I will say this, I really like him as a tag partner, and I hope he will get a kick out of knowing that I am coming back and am accepting bookings now again. I hope he also gets a kick out of how I have been working out to make myself more marketable... Maybe we can do something a little more exciting to up the anti on making the crowd Cheer "Holy Shit" and I think with our finishing move and all the other innovative moves we came up with, we could probably get booked anywhere. I am not sure if he likes the tag thing but I love tagging up with people, and hope to continue doing so, but I am never opposed to wrestling singles matches though, because some of my best matches ever have been singles matches

Just Know This: So you talk about the factors that made you want to come back and some people, who was on your back about coming back?

Louis Stiener: Well actually it was of all people Tristin Hayze who just kept asking for me to come back and I mean CONSTANTLY asking, and just talking to the Chicago Connection, and Team Dammit, Mikey Migo(Owner of MEW) has pushed me to come back through the Message Board threads and just keeping up with me in my busy but boring college life, Fans who have seen me at other shows who have recognized me have asked me why I don't wrestle anymore or don't wrestle for shows like IWA and shows like that. My feelings are that I will wrestle anywhere, but the want to have me there has got to be there

Just Know This: You speak of IWA and other federations have any of these federations ever sparked your interest to wrestle there?

Louis Stiener: actually with the love I got for MEW, ARW, and WCWO, I had no feelings of wrestling anywhere unless approached but...... I have shown interest in certain times to wrestling in all Chicago Federations because I just know most of the wrestlers and love being around them, I hope they feel the same way about me

Louis Stiener: I have had the opportunity just to shoot the shit before with Billy Whack (LWF), but never about bookings, I have talked to people from PCW, I have thought about AAW as well as RCW so they were all thought of, but as a wrestler not really known in Chicago other than the wrestlers, I would be like starting all over again with the fans, but I am sure that I could get even the Chicago fans in an uproar given the chance... Bottom line though I have started my career in MEW and although I might have wrestled in alot of places already with the progression in my ability to be noticed other places by my talent I am proud that MEW is my home fed, I have wrestled alot of places already but still give them first dibs on the HiztorikalOne's Services.

Louis Stiener: people say that LWF has been plagued with quiet fans, well I say this, that given the opportunity I believe I could get those fans cheering me. Yes I will say it as a person who has wrestled in the Bump Factory before, I wouldn't mind wrestling for LWF sometime. I still have to say though that Indiana is where I started so I give my home feds top choice on me as it stands

Just Know This: what would you like to accomplish this time when you come back?

Louis Stiener: I would like to accomplish spreading my name around and having it that people when hearing Hiztory's name want to have him on their show. I would like to become a champion at federations because they respect me enough to put me in those positions to become champ, but that is not without hard work of course. I would like to just build my fan base more, really because they are the most important thing to me, without fans there would be no Hiztory.

Just Know This: Were do you see yourself in a couple of years?

Louis Stiener: Well realistically I don't know where I see myself in a couple of years, but where I would like to be is on everybody’s mind when they create cards for shows, I would like to get out there and show what I can do so that maybe one day I will be invited to the I8 tournament, but as I said this couldn't be without hard work, but I feel that I am capable of doing what is required of me to get there.

Just Know This: Let’s play the name game now
Louis Stiener: lets not and say we did, I have nothing but nice comments to say about everybody, and have failed to meet somebody that I couldn't get along with in the wrestling company. Events and people happen sometimes but they happen for reasons. That’s that

Just Know This: What’s one thing if you could do it without anybody telling you no, that you would do in the Wrestling world?

Louis Stiener: Ok this might sound awkward, but I would like to join Team Dammit they are great friends/mentors and I feel that they really care when I asked them how was my match or what could I have done better this time? I feel that my matches continue to get better from their help, and because of this relationship I have with them, I would like to join them. Well them or the Chicago Connection because they are in the same boat, and have helped me all the same

Louis Stiener: if I joined Chicago Connection or Team Dammit it would be interesting since if you notice all over a bunch of federations have they feuded, and it would be funny because in that aspect I would have to join the Chicago Connection to even out the odds a little bit from the amount of members team Dammit has as opposed to the Chicago Connection

Louis Stiener: but yeah for the record, I have no idea on how any of those members really feel about me, but that is to answer that question that if I could do anything right now around here without being told no that is what I would do.

Just Know This: Well to wrap this up, I would like to thank you Hiztory for the opportunity to interview you, and if anybody has any questions to Hiztory you can email him at HiztorikalOne@yahoo.com, You heard it here first folks, Hiztory has came back to wrestling so you may get another chance to see the "Tsunami" or maybe something else he has in store for you, it was a pleasure Hiztory is there anything else you might want to say?

Louis Stiener: Sure, I would like to thank all the fans, and all the wrestlers over the years that have supported me, and I would like to give the love back by coming back, and doing what I do best to make you all cheer me again as you have in the past, also you might think you know Hiztory but you never know when or where he may show up next so keep your eyes open..... Thank you for the time to interview me and I'm out of here back 20 thousand leagues under the sea... Time to make an impact!
