The Eiffel Tower
Eiffel Tower

No trip to Paris woudl be complete without venturing to the top of the tower.  This was one of the first things we had to do of course.  It's about €9.70 to go to the top level.  One thing that suprised me was the fact that the tower looks grey in pictures but in actuality, it's two shades of brown!

View from center level

From the first level we got a nice view to the west.  We walked along that pond and through that long building several times.

Seine view
A view along the Siene from the second level.  The mini model fo the Statue of Liberty is in the far distence butwe'll get to that later!
City View

The distant cityscape.  We had fun seeing how many landmarks we could spot.  I 'm glad I brought my binoculars!
Arc de Triomphe

The Arc de Triomphe.  It is the center intersection to about 7 intersecting streets which are like spokes on a wheel.  Wow!  An aereal view sure gives you a good layout of the city.

Top Level

The top is very enclosed and a radio tower stands on top of it.  While the third level is higher, I prefer the second level personally.
Down Below

This picture is hard to process at first, but take a moment and it will sink in exactly what you are seeing!

Shadow

This shadow pic was briliantly snapped by Jon.  Good one!

Another shadow-type version from below.

Cityscape
A final view of the cityscape before we make our decsent.  If you look closely, you can see the long building of the Louvre on the left side of the Seine and Notre Dame on the far right and half way down.  The Eiffel Tower is amazing.  It's a must-do if you come to Paris!
