The Story
It all begins when Hitomi Kanzaki wishes for true love. Here are some background "facts" you need to know first:
Hitomi loves track (running) and her best friend is Yukari.
She knows that Amano really likes her.
She is also well known among her friends for fortune telling with the tarot cards.
She has a pendant that her grandmother gave her.
Hitomi travels to Gaea and through her adventures with Van, Allen, MIllerna, Folken, and Dornkirk: she discovers that her wish does come true.
We know that Dornkirk wants something, although his wishes are not clear. We later discover that he wants to create a world where everyone's wishes come true. Hitomi tries to explain to him that his machine (the "Fate Alteration Machine") was the cause for the destruction of Atlantis.
Van,
Hitomi, and Allen work together to stop Dornkirk. At first, Folken (Van's
brother) was thought to be dead after he failed to slay the dragon (which was
part of the ceremony to become King of Fanelia). Years later, they
discover that he was working with Dornkirk, and this angers Van very much
because he always thought that Folken was not a coward, that he had not run away
from the fate of dragon slaying.
