GRAND FINAL whispers

SWANSEA FOOTBALL CLUB have been succesful in their bid to join the ODFA for 2002. This comes after the swans have been trying to get into the competition for 2 years. At last Monday's meeting of the ODFA, a vote of 9-3 allowed Swansea in, however it appears they will probably travel to Bothwell twice next season, plus possibly even Kempton twice. Triabunna and Oatlands will travel twice to Swansea to make up for lost home matches. Current Swansea President Paul Wright is expected to be Secretary next season for the swans as the uncertainty about whether Swansea would be playing football next season disappears.
WOODSDALE have won their 4th consecutive ODFA Seniors flag on Saturday after they defeated Kempton by 9 points. In the reserves, Triabunna made it a year to remember as they also defeated Kempton to take the reserves pennant in their first season of the ODFA. Stay tuned for a complete wrap-up of the Grand Final after this weeekend, as well as the updated Club Notes..
