nevermind. walk it off.
when you're in the same room as me,
I can't bring myself to look at you.
I wouldn't have any control.
Afraid that, meeting your eyes will
give my heart away.
And so, with my head down and hair in my face,
I catch a sideways glance,
only to find you stealing a glimpse of my confusion.
A future that will never be flashes before us.
As we watch with our eyes closed-
I am injected with a shudder
In this delusion I trace your lips
with my fingertip,
until you fall asleep.
