The All In Christ Network - Quaker Styled Meetings This effort is presented on the World Wide Web in the hope that it will be a blessing to people everywhere. We write from an inclusive Christ centered perspective, hoping to make contact with like-minded souls for fellowship. Our message is simply "God is with us." We present an inclusive faith that remains Christ centered. There is that of God within all people. All are included. Everyone is connected in God, even if not all sense that connection. We hope you feel your own connection and inclusion. All of us are included in the body of Christ. No decision or conversion is needed to be made on our part to be included. It was all finished by God. He destroyed any of the barriers that may have separated us. We have a relationship with God and each other. We present the Gospel of Inclusion through Christ. God sent his Son for everyone. He is the Savior of all men, not just those that believe. Therefore, to the people of other faiths we offer a hearty welcome. We hope you feel accepted as you are. To those in the Christian tradition, we invite you to consider and celebrate the mystical oneness of "Christ in all, and all in Christ." Who are we? We are Quakin Friends. We are a Christ Centered Universalist Fellowship in the Quaker tradition. We believe in simple religion, avoiding the trappings of outward ceremony. By Quaker we do not refer to any denomination. That would be to misunderstand our purpose. By being "Quaker" we mean to live all of life from the realization of God within every man. We meet wherever two or three are gathered with Christ in our midst. The living presence of Christ in our midst is the entire focus of our doctrine, worship, and ministry. 1) Our Doctrine: We believe in the continuing reality of the living Christ, available to all seeking souls. 2) Our Worship: The worship of God is in spirit and in truth, and shall be held on a basis of the leadership of the Holy Spirit. 3) Our Ministry: All Attendees are free to participate vocally in Meetings, under a sense of God’s presence. Anyone could start a meeting like this. We welcome you, and encourage you to contact us. Who Are We? We are a Christ-centered, Independent, Unprogrammed, Non-creedal, Inclusive Fellowship, proclaiming that Jesus is the Savior of the World. We call ourselves "The Quaker All In Christ Network." Q.A.I.C.N. The acronym is Q.A.I.C.N., pronounced Quakin', so for simplicity we call ourselves Quakin Friends. Since Quakers generally hold that "Christ is in All", The "Quaker" All in Christ Network, believes both that "Christ is in All", and "All is in Christ". Some would call us a Christian Universalist Fellowship. When asked "Who was Jesus?", our reply is simply, "The Christ, the Son of the living God, and the Savior of the world." We seek contact and fellowship with other like-minded friends. If, like us, you believe that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, that he truly saves all humankind, and reconciles all things back to God, then we want to hear from you. Please email us us. When asked if we are Universalist we answer in the affirmative. We believe that there is that of God in every man. Jesus is the light that lightens every person. Jesus is the life that is breathed into every person. He is the word and the seed that is planted into the hearts of people everywhere. That seed will grow, and every person made alive will fully manifest the life and glory of God. We don't look on the outward man, but we see Jesus, the image of God, in everyone. We want to know you, build the network, hold you in the Light, and remember you in prayer. We hope you will start your own meeting wherever you are. Please contact us . Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." This does not necessarily mean that a person must accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior to know or connect to God, but we do acknowledge that all connection to God is through the Spirit of Christ. Jesus is the way. We don't deny the benefit of another's religious journey. Since Christ is all and in all, we see Christ in everyone, and in the midst of everyone's journey. We hope to learn from the light others have, whether they recognize Christ in their midst, or whether they realize their own participation of divinity or not. Whether we realize it or not, we are all on a journey back to God. We look to the Light that lightens every man, and dwells in every man, to guide us on our path. And this Light leads us all to God. All are from Him and through Him, and to Him. All truth is God's truth wherever it is found. And since Jesus is the truth, wherever we discover truth we have found Jesus. We look for him everywhere. He is in all. All of life's discoveries become a sacred encounter with the divine. This Truth becomes God revealed to us in our daily life. As we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ we grow in our knowledge of God. God is the source of all life. Since Jesus is the life of God, as life is lived we all experience the gift of God in Christ. All of life becomes a meaningful encounter with God. Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. This does not make us an exclusive club, but rather everything and everyone becomes an all inclusive connection with God. This is what we mean when we say we are Christ centered. We see Christ as all and in all, that God may be all in all. We believe that creeds could never fully represent all revelation and could limit or confine our perceptions of truth. There are many reasons to remain non-creedal. 1. 1. We want to be open to further revelation. 2. 2. We want to avoid unnecessary divisions. 3. 3. We don't want to rule over others, or dictate to them, or try to control their beliefs. That is not the way of Christ. The main reason we want to avoid man made creeds is that "God and Christ has come to teach his people himself". 1. 1. We want to be open to further revelation. Personal confessions of faith grow and develop as light is revealed and as time passes. Jesus once said "You have heard it said by them of old time...but I say unto you...." What was once revealed during Old Testament times was superceded and replaced by clearer revelation during the time of Christ, and was further elaborated on during the time of the Apostles. This progression of revelation implies that confessions of faith will not remain static as the ages roll. As the knowledge of God grows so will our personal professions of faith. We must allow for this. Organizational statements tend to be static and unchanging. Creeds and doctrinal statements often appear to be written in stone. However, like the laws that were written in stone, they can pass away, or be replaced, or even be abolished. Sometimes, a denomination will be scattered or die a slow death before they will let their creed be stricken or amended. A fellowship of believers does not need to be constrained by present truth, but can grow and mature even as the body of Christ does. A living vital faith, based on the spirit of life, rather than on a letter that kills, allows personal and even corporate growth and change. A non-creedal position allows this growth. 2. 2. We want to avoid unnecessary divisions. Creeds tend to be divisive. They demand conformity. They are not a patient guide. It is the Spirit that guides us into all truth. Creeds tend to exclude some, for whom Christ died. This is divisive, and contrary to the Spirit of unity in Christ Jesus. 3. 3. We don't want to rule over others, dictate to them, or try to control their beliefs. Dogmatically dictating what is to be believed, or attempting to rule over peoples faith, is contrary to the servant attitude of Christ. Our experience of that of God within has led us to understand that God's inward guiding presence is universal. Through Christ, anyone anywhere can experience God directly. We don't have to tell others what to believe. Christ also frees us from a clergy mentality where saints become dependent on pastors, priests and clerics for instruction or for direction from God. We all have access by one spirit unto the Father. We have the mind of Christ. We know all things. We have an anointing of God that abides within and we need not that any man teach us. God is teaching his people. Revelation still unfolds progressively. We don't want to resist the Spirit's teachings to us, or restrict our own learning, by imposing or submitting to the creeds of men. Instead we turn to Christ. "God and Christ has come to teach his people himself". For these reasons, we do not make a written statement the test of faith. Important to us is the experience of the Divine as individuals and as a group. Anyone who desires to know or connect to God is accepted in our midst. We want to remain as inclusive as possible. For ourselves, our faith is built on the trustworthy foundation. When asked, "Who was Jesus?" We reply, "The Christ, the Son of the living God, and the Savior of the world." This foundational truth, may seem at first glance very particular and even exclusive, but we recognize that God has opened us up to further light. In the age we now live, Christ has come in Spirit, and that foundational truth takes on a deeper all inclusive meaning. At this time, we may see the church as the Christ, the annointed of God, or the body of Christ which includes all things, all humanity as the children or sons of God, and the manifested sons of God as the Saviors of the world. As the Spirit teaches, our understanding of the influence and power of Christ and the Gospel increases. All is included. Nothing is left out. We may not yet see all things submitted unto Him, but we see the Light. We see Jesus. May God grant that we walk in wisdom toward those who do not sense their inclusion, being alienated in their minds. May we walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, because we know that they are already included. There is that of God, or something of the Divine, in everyone. We want to respect and encourage that life. We choose to remain inclusive, being at peace with all people, as much as is possible. Jesus came to lighten every person. Therefore, we are open to, and respond to the Light found within anyone, knowing that all truth is God's truth, and that all things are of God. This does not mean that we accept all religious practices, for we also maintain that not all things are beneficial, even within the Christian traditions. Our focus is on spiritual connection, rather than outward ceremony or ritual. Our discretion is based on wisdom, and love, not fear. All things do work together for good, but not all things are useful . The time in which we are living, requires a delicate balance. Christ is all and in all, and yet we do not yet all see all things submitted unto him. All are included, and yet may appear like they are still outside. Initially, "Thou art the Christ" was an historic confession made only by Peter. However, Jesus did not shut out the other disciples because of their lack of insight. He walked along side with them. He had the faith to see that they were included. May we too have the faith of God. Independence does not mean being alone, or isolated. We actively seek out relationship and fellowship with others. We invite you to start your own meeting and contact us. Independence means freedom. Independence means freedom. Having direct access to God through Christ means being free from the religious control of others. Christ frees us from a clergy mentality where saints become dependent on pastors, priests or clerics. Christ, in Spirit, is our prophet, priest and king. We all have access by one spirit unto the Father. This means we are free from the control of any council, association, or denomination. Meetings can arise more or less spontaneously without the oversight or permission of any ecclesiastical body. Individuals and assemblies are free to follow and listen to the Christ within. This freedom is often exciting and liberating, allowing us to pursue a simple, near apostolic form of worship. * Unprogrammed worship is simple in form and content. At an appointed time and place, we gather in silence. From time to time, a member of the group may speak out, or rise and offer verbal ministry. This message may take the form of a prayer, a song, a simple spoken statement, or a reading from scripture or other sacred writing. At an agreed upon time, the worship is ended with the shaking of hands and friendly greetings. This is an open participatory meeting. ** The apostle Paul spoke of such a meeting when he wrote, "Whenever you meet let everyone be ready to contribute a psalm, a piece of teaching, a spiritual truth, or a 'tongue' with an interpreter. Everything should be done to make your church strong in the faith." Everyone is called to contribute. Everyone has access to the Christ, the Image of God, that divine inner Light within. Being ready to contribute a psalm or message does not necessarily mean preparing a message, but rather, more vitally it implies an openness to the leading of the Spirit. We open ourselves to the Living Christ, the Teacher, as vessels for ministry. There is no need to rely on professional clergy. As we are prompted by this Inner Guide, sometimes referred to as the Light, Love, Truth, or Inner Christ, we share a message for the encouragement of all. What is Christ Centered Universalism? The Everlasting Gospel is the most joyous news ever heard by the human heart. We are reunited with God. Reconciliation is accomplished. Fellowship is restored. Alienation, and separation is removed. Oneness with God is realized and experienced. All men live and move and have their being in Christ This is the essence of our message. Christ is the Savior of the world. Varieties of Christian Universalism abound. Some hold to a universal opportunity, and even universal conversion. Others to a universal atonement, and ultimate reconciliation. Still others to universal pardon and restoration. As good and valid as these beliefs may be, to many they are just elaborate theological ideas. Much more experiential, and even mystical is the realization of Christ within. That of God within every person is the basis of most Quaker Universalism. Christ, the image of God, is found everywhere. He is the light that lightens every man. This is good news to all peoples. We want to keep it simple. As the saying goes, "In essentials Unity; in non-essentials Liberty; in all things Charity" 对于所有的人类我们的在下面的信念在上帝的无穷和无穷尽爱方面. Our underlying belief is in the infinite and unfailing love of God for all mankind. Some people may still feel alienated in their mind from God. However, God shows the exceeding riches of His grace in his kindness toward us through Jesus Christ. Nothing prevents His loving intention and sovereign will to unite all in Christ. Nothing can either quench His love or finally defeat His gracious purpose for man. Who was Jesus? "世界的基督,活的上帝儿子和救助者" "The Christ, the Son of the living God, and Savior of the World" "你艺术基督" 一份教条的陈述不是被相信或黏附在, 但是揭露是富有经验的. "Thou art the Christ" is not a statement of dogma to be believed or adhered to, but a revelation to be experienced. We experience him as the Christ, living in the Spirit. We know him as the Son, demonstrating close relationship with the Living God. And we see the Savior, bringing salvation in every sense of the word to all humankind. Through Christ all humankind is touched and filled by the Spirit of God for He fills all things. Through Christ any walls of division are broken down. We all have access and fellowship with God and with one another in the Spirit. Christ is the salvation given to everyone? In Christ is every blessing imaginable, and some we haven't yet imagined, and some yet to come. Christ is everything to us. He is living his life through us his body, which is everything, and filling everything. We no longer know Him in the flesh, but we know Him in Spirit everywhere. He is our prophet priest and king. As prophet, he is our teacher imparting truth. As priest, he removes any sense of alienation from God. As king, he bestows upon us the power to live the very life of God. In this way we know and experience Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and Savior of the World. Thinking of starting a meeting? What is needed? A time, a place, and two or three gathered is all that is needed. Christ will dwell in our midst. Some have found that meeting in a home can free a group from many of the entanglements that try to distract us from our primary focus in Christ. What is not needed? To get started, you don't need permission. You don't need money. We keep our worship simple, minimizing distractions. You don't need a building, a budget, a preacher, a hierarchy, a Sunday school, the sacraments or catechisms. You don't need a choir, or a pulpit or anything else you can see. Christ is our life. He is all we need. We worship in Spirit, and in Truth. We hope that you too will enjoy the benefit of gathering simply, with Christ in the midst. As you gather your friends together, may God bless you, and guide you. To the Quaker community, one role the Quaker All In Christ Network may play is to provide a place of middle ground. Many Quakers are uncomfortable with the apparent exclusivity of much Christianity. Others with the apparent Christlessness of Universalism. There is a divide between the weakness and failings of a "Christian" salvation limited in scope and influence on one hand, and the perceived emptiness by some of a universalism that is absolutely pluralistic with no apparent basis in Christ, and God, on the other. However, since Christ is in all, a faith in Christ, and a belief in Universalism, can and do go hand in hand. They are not at odds with each other. Rather, each is necessary, and completed by the other. Christ is the basis of our Universalism. It is because of Christ that we are Universalist. And it is this all inclusive love for everyone that draws us to the Christ. And not just us, but all things are gathered together in one in Christ. Salvation is universal in scope, accomplished in, by, and through the Christ. Christ is all, and in all, that God may be All in All. May we all discover both our oneness in Christ and the Universal expression of Christ within all. A Special Word to Our Friends of Other Faiths and Cultures For those of you who may not have a like faith in Jesus Christ, I want to extend a hearty welcome. We have more in common than might be obvious to the casual onlooker. We are all intimately connected. We all share in the mystic oneness of the divine within. One hope of ours is that the participatory style of an open meeting in the silence may appeal to others of other faiths and cultures, even as it does to us. Please feel free to meet with those whom you feel most comfortable with, in the silence, wherever you are, and whatever you believe. Held in the Light we will meet together. Recently, while meditating on a Biblical prophecy about all people knowing God I had a daydream. I saw all humankind, meeting in groups all around the world, people of every nation, tribe, and tongue, and various religions, waiting in silence. Simultaneously, all around the world, out of that silence came direction and divine solutions to the challenges of the human condition. Working together as one, problems like starvation were easily dealt with. The universal good will that was accomplished and obvious to all, freed people everywhere from fearful accumulation, to a liberal distribution to those in need. Business became a means for provision rather than profit. One man's abundance became a supply for another's lack, for he knew in turn that another's surplus would be available for any future need of his own. It was beautiful to consider. . It seems worthwhile to share this image of a world aware of the divine, sharing in a universal consciousness. I believe the future will be much more wonderful, even than this, beyond imagination, but perhaps this could be a stepping stone to something better, for the peoples of the earth. We conclude with a link to a page from the Quaker Universalist Fellowship. It is entitled The Quaker Dynamic: Personal Faith and Corporate Vision. May our oneness be a blessing to each other and to all humankind. Blessings. Dean Johnson |
