SUMMER WILDLIFE IN BANAGHER GLEN:

Another variety of the wild clover
is morecommonly found in Banagher Glen but when you see this coloured
type its a treat to the eye. The coloured type tend to be bigger and
better and the stems are thicker. The bees lover them |
WILD
HONEYSUCKLE
The native honeysuckle which thrives
in Banagher Glen is less bright and scentful as the garden type although
not by much. And the beautiful scent can still be smelt strongly if
you happen to walk past a large patch of them on a warm summer's night
after the rain |

WILD
FERN This fern with attractive foliage
causes quite an eye sore when the leaves die back and stay below the
plant as a brown decaying mess all winter. But don't let this put you
off these extravigant plants which compliment the bluebells and foxgloves
brilliantly. The lush green leaves look fabulous from the side of the
path in the glen. |
