History:

Johnny Hunter is the veteran of the ICWF. He has been in the ICWF since day one, and even before that time when it was known as the ICW. He has been one of the wrestlers who has seen the ICWF evolve, as he evolved with it. When he first came into the ICWF scene, times were tough, there was very little competition and the ICWF was constantly looking for new talent. Right from the get go Johnny Hunter proved himself as one of the dominating forces in the ICWF, compiling an impressive amount of successful victories. JH's first rival was none other than the now long retired Scott Hall. They faced off at the first ever ICWF PPV, a New Beginning. It was a fight for the ages and it was one of the most conterversial fights ever in ICWF. Johnny Hunter had the match already one, when a partner of Hall's, Dark Patriot, came out and cost Johnny Hunter the match. It was the biggest upset in the short history of the ICWF and Johnny Hunter was furios. Many believe that this very match was the one that made JH the great wrestler he turned out to be, it made him tougher and more determined to win matches. Johnny Hunter would not be denied of the World Title though, he would have liked to have fought Scott Hall to get his revenge, but Hall retired, and Johnny Hunter was forced to have to battle up and comer Dean for the World title. It was a historic battle which Johnny Hunter won over a young Dean and many consider Johnny Hunter the first ever official ICWF champion. From that point on Johnny Hunter's career started to take off, he was recognized as the champion, and he formed his stable, The Misfits, formed of himself, Jag, and his manager Bad Boy Brock amongst others. JH felt that he was unstoppable, but it was not so, at the next PPV, King of The Ring, Johnny Hunter faced a more confident Dean, the outcome was quite different this time, Dean defeated the cocky Hunter and became the new ICWF World Champion. Dean held the title for a quite a while after that, as Johnny layed low and stayed out of the World Title game for a while. Then, at the Royal Rumble PPV, Johnny Hunter got another shot at the gold against Stone Cold Steve Austin, who would go on to be one of Johnny Hunter's biggest enemies. But, like all the times these two wrestlers faced off, Johnny Hunter got the win to become the first ever two time world champion. JH was once again on top of the world, but in the meantime, another superstar was waiting in the wings to take the title of Hunter, it was The Rock, and he got his chance at a Friday Night Heat. The Rock would not be denied, as he got the win and took the title. At this point Johnny Hunter really questioned the fact if he wanted to continue in the ICWF, he stayed with it, and bounced around with the IC title for a while. Not really feeling that he belonged as a mid carder Johnny Hunter sought to rehold the World Title. He entered the 32 man tournament, and fought his way to the last match, where he would face Dean, in the third match of their intense rivalry. Dean would come out on top, and it was one of the lowest points of Johnny Hunter's career, the match was decided by an interference by Cory "Two Much" Theriot. During his career JH stabled with the man of many gimmicks, Arryk Rage. This relationship ended after Johnny Hunter crossed Arryk in a semi final match of the World Title tournament. Johnny Hunter has lasted the longest in the ICWF, and he has truly been one of the brightest ICWF stars.
