In April 2002, Purely Committed coordinated the first One Knight Only banquet which took place at the Radisson Hotel, Santa Barbara in Southern California. The event was a success with 250 college age women in attendance, keynote speaker Kirk Cameron (actor from the hit sitcom Growing Pains), and half in attendance making a commitment to sexual abstinence. This year the coordinating team has grown from 12 to 25 enthusiastic women who are devoted to encouraging their peers to make the commitment, as they have, to purity until marriage. These women will dedicate the year to coordinating the second One Knight Only banquet to be held April 5, 2003, at the Radisson Hotel, Santa Barbara. In addition to coordinating their banquet, they will also be directing a new team of women in Louisiana to accomplish the same goal.
