Past Successes:
The first One Knight Only banquet, April 2002, was a success. The goal of having 250 women in attendance was accomplished, in fact it was bitter sweet when we met our maximum and had to turn down many others who desired to attend. Over half in attendance made a commitment to purity during the candle lighting beach ceremony. A comment made by one of the attendees was very inspiring, "You've really impacted my life tonight. I've been struggling for the past few months with committing to secondary virginity—I'm going to now. Thanks." Another woman remembered the evening and said it was "a great time for women to come
together and be inspired! I wanted to jump up in my chair and say, 'You go
girls!'"
In the spring of 2002 Jaime was invited by Project Reality to lobby for abstinence education funding (Title V of the Welfare Reform Act) in Washington DC. Others who were in attendance were affiliated with the Miss America Pageant system including the current Miss America, Erika Harold.
Purely Committed members were invited by Fox News as guests to speak about the reasons abstinence until marriage is important to our future generations.
The buzz about the One Knight Only banquet continued the summer following the first event. Jaime was a guest on the Jason Lewis Show, a main stream talk radio show in Minneapolis, MN.
