Home Sweet Home! |
What is home to me..? ... its not
the possessions I have, nor how fancy, ... but it's those that make it a
happy and warm place. And it's the love you share, through thick and
thin, ... be they human or even your pets, ... it's the family that
makes a place a true home. |

Dad Relaxing by the fireplace. |
My mother and father were two of the very best parents any person could
have ever hoped for. They were reasonably strict, but very loving and a
lot of fun. I know they took great care of me when I was young, now it's
my turn, and I'm happy to do it. |

Meet Angel! |
A few months after I lost my mother
to cancer, I wanted another sheltie in my life, but wasn't sure if I
wanted to buy a puppy or adopt a needy dog from the sheltie rescue. But
fate stepped in, and I couldn't be happier! I found her along the
highway, in the pouring rain. I contacted her owners, and brought her
back home to them. They saw how much she and I bonded so quickly, and
how I fought to keep the tears away when I left. But a few days later, I
got a call, they believed she'd be safer with me due to the fact they
could not keep her inside because of the husbands allergies. Her name
was Zowie, but she came into my life at a time of need for me, ... I
felt she was heaven sent and my little guardian Angel, who followed me
around anywhere she could. ... and so she became my Angel. |

OK, I have learned that Shelties are like Potato
chips ...
No one can have just one!
Meet Foxy! |
After a while poor angel started
walking around with a fuzzy toy in her mouth, always wanting someone to
play with. I began realizing she was very lonely for another dog for
company, for every time I brought her to the dog park she wore herself
out completely playing with other dogs and just seeing how she watched
and enjoyed meeting other dogs. So I chose to get another dog. This time
though I went to a breeder and got a puppy. I thought and thought about
names, but as I watched her play I knew that there could never be a
better name then Foxy for this bouncy fluff ball! |

Major love bug, and very caring kitty. He will lick and offer comfort to anyone, kitties, the dogs or us, that seems in
distress. Odd Habit: Though fully grown,
he will climb into my lap and crawl up to my shoulder and nurse like a baby on my shirt sleeve until he falls asleep, at least once a day! |
|
Found her in the woods as a tiny kitten, but her ear-tip was cut off. It took me two weeks to tame her enough to bring her home. Still the original scaredy-cat terrified to be picked up but she loves to be petted and is very lovable.
And LOVES cat nip! Odd Habit: Loves licking us, especially my feet in the morning before I put on my slippers .. yuck! |
|
The trouble maker! She is what one would think of as the perfect kitten, into
everything, but you can't get mad at her 'cuz she knows just when to get that cute face and
innocent mew!
Odd Habit: Steals the straws
out of my glasses, and brings me all kinds of things
to throw to play fetch with. .. Yes fetch! She loves playing it even late night she'll
wake me up! |

Jasmine |
She came limping to us as an adult, only two days after we lost Ginger.
She had been shot, I took her to the vet and helped her recover at home,
after that she insisted that we were now her home and learned all our
rules fast so she could stay. Odd Habit: Does a funny
little dance when it's dinner time or wants to go outside. Also she
bobbles her head when playful. |
|
Ginger's daughter, also a Hemmingway, but with the usual six toes. A real
sweetie! She lives mostly outside but comes in for hugs and cuddles, or
bad weather. Odd Habit: Licks plastic bags, also
gently paws for attention. |
|
Dumped out by her previous owners we took her in to foster her, she's still
a bit insecure but getting better and very
happy. But sadly too shy around the other cats so we can't keep her. Odd Habit: Hides her face when ever
she can using us as cover.
** Looking for a good home for her. |

Our oldest kitty, a Hemmingway with seven toes! Sweet, but
she was a big brat too! Odd Habit: Liked licking ruff things,
also gently pawed my face to wake me up in the morning. |
