After the tragic losses at Wolf 359of both personnel and ships, Starfleet exploded in ship building. A redisigned version of the Nebula Class Starship was commissioned at the Mars Shipyards at this time. This upgraded version of the Nebula was faster, carried seven times the armaments, sported a superior communications array, improved sophistication in her navigational controls, and more effecient tactical support systems, without any alterations to the exterior hull and without making sweeping changes to the basic structural components of the vessel. The Nebula(A) incorportated all of the anti Borg technologies Starfleet had learned at an immense cost, and was intended to be the deadliest Borg fighting machine ever created at that time. There were numerous problems adapting the new systems to the old design. Initially there were three such ships built. The USS Raven, the first of this new series of Nebula Class, came on line a mere 3 months after Wolf 359. The remaining two ships never did come on line, because Starfleet abandoned the project, deciding instead to build entirely new classes of Starships designed specifically for the newly developed systems. The U.S.S. Defiant and the Voyager were both examples of these, so it can be said that the U.S.S. Raven was a prototype for the modern Starship. The U.S.S. Raven has served with honor and distinction ever since. and on numerous occassions has played a vital role in protecting the Federation from the Borg. When Commander Brian Lukas took command of the U.S.S. Raven on her maiden voyage, he said, "I wonder if the Borg have read Edgar Allen Poe?" A plaque was then mounted at the entrance to the Bridge that reads simply... "Nevermore."
You materialize on the transporter pad. The first "person" you encounter there is a lovely woman. She introduces herself as the First Officer. You see her face change when she notice her ears. Yes, I am half Vulcan and half Human. Yes, I have emotions and I have mastered them unlike most of my Race. Her face turns back to a sleat of stone. "The Captain is awaiting you aboard the bridge," she says to you, then turns away and leaves you standing there in bewilderment. You exit the transporter room and enter the first turbolift. After you enter the doors close. You hear the computer say “Please press your destination please” You see a panel near your left hand glow and see the following destinations.
