I was born nineteen years ago in Fulton, Mississippi. Since then I've lived in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and finally Florida. Florida's not a place I'd want to live at forever. The bugs here are huge, the heats awful, the people are rude, prices are absurd, there are too many tourists, and alligators eat your children. Serious about the last part. I suppose it'd make a good horror story, though...giant bugs and demonic lizards....nah. Anyway, in the second grade I wanted to be a teacher, and I suppose that's a usual dream of an Elementary school child. My teacher, Mrs. Shiver, assigned the class a fifteen minute writing assignment. The topic: How someone learns to count. Being a creative child, I wrote a story quickly and efficiently, fascinated about how fun it was. When I read mine aloud in class, my teacher looked at me oddly, asking me to read it again. I did so. Afterwards she took the paper, read it herself, and then sent it to the office. For months I heard nothing, and soon forgot it. One day the principal called my mother and told her they believed I was extraordinarily gifted in writing. Since then I've known I have what it takes...the wisdom, the imagination, and the perfect relationship with words. As a child I was always fascinated with death and horror; my mother said I'd outgrow it, that it was a childhood phase my aunt had also gone through. How wrong she was. As I developed my interest in dark fiction, horror movies, and distrubing art grew. I knew I wanted to be a Horror Novelist.
So here I am, attending college and working at K-mart. I'm going after my degree in Journalism, to become a literary agent in the Horror field, and to be a freelance author. I'm engaged to wonderful person who I couldn't live without, I read passionately, and I love animals. I draw, I paint, I sculpt porceline dolls. Wood burning's on my list too, as is sewing. In my room there's a writing desk filled with writing books, a word processor, pens and pencils, papers, and everything else a writer could want.
I haven't been published, yet, but I haven't submitted anything either. I don't think I'm ready for that.
Well, basically you know as much about me as you'd want to, so I'll let you go to either explore my site or leave it. Happy Haunting!
