HORROR AUTHORS- DARK HAVEN
Writer's Of Dark Fiction
Below is a list of all who practice writing the Dark Macabe. The age group they write for is not limited to the list. For instance, I have included R.L.Stine...many of you remember him from Goosebumps, but he has written more "adult" fiction as well. If you have any suggestions of who I should include, email me and I'll put the name and Url up. Thanks for your time and I hope these pages allow you to learn more about your favorite authors, and find out about new and exciting books.

This list is growing. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks- Erin

Clive Barker Clive Barker's Official Site- The Lost Souls
Clive is definitely one of my favorite authors. I got to attend the chat he was featured in. It was amazing, even if it was only for an hour. The main page for this site wasn't working last time it checked; it might now, but if it doesn't at least you know you were warned. My Clive Barker Site- Barker World Not a very nice site, but one I made myself :) I still have a lot of work to do with it.

Poppy Z.Brite - Pandora - The official Website I've been hearing all sorts of things about Poppy Z Brite. Some hate her some love her. TO see my opinnion I went and bought a book by her. Haven't read it yet, but it looks pretty inviting. It's called Drawing Blood.

Ramsey Campbell Now this guy is all the way horror. He writes so wickedly you'll shiver while reading. Seriously. One of the best.

Orson Scott Card Ive read one book by this guy. I like his style and can't wait to get a hold of his others novels.

Orson Scott Card Another Orson Scott Card. LOL Not a typo, ladies and gentleman, but another site.

Michael Chrichton Who didn't love Jurrassic Park? But books like the Terminal can't be ignored either. Enjoy them.

More Michael

Ruby Jean Jenson This woman is fantastic. The pictures on this site are amazing but the bad thing is it's from Geocites...nothing personl, but it makes my computer crash and the Ads REALLY burn me up. Anyway, she wirtes about killer dolls and children, all supernatural, all plain out CREEPY. I would definitely recommend her. Another fav.

A Stephen King site Stephen King IS good, I must admit. But I can't help but feel he's overated. A bad thing is that he's all many horror activists know!

Dean Koontz I love this man, his older books the best. Servants of Twlight, Watchers, and Voices at Midnight are my favs.

H.P. Lovecraft Okay, Im ashamed of myself. Haven't read him. Heard he was wonderful and everything, but I havent gotten the chance.

Christopher Pike Another favorite. Whisper of Death was written so beautifully you won't forget it. The plot is tingling- seriously, I kept glancing under the bed while reading it!

Edgar Allan Poe Tell-tale heart, The Raven...classics. Thats the only word to describe this man.

Anne Rice Im not a big fan of her myself. She writers Vampire stories, mummy, and calls herself a romance wirter most of the time. Still the Vampire Lestat is mentionable. And everyone else likes her, so...here's your link!

John Saul A lot don't agree with me on my Opinnion with this fella. He's great! I love the way everything horrendous and supernatural always surrounds children! He claims that when he was studying to be a writer, he noticed horror stories revolving around kids sold well. Nice choice, John. :)

Guy N. Smith Geez, I hate when that happens. When you know youve read it, but can't remember the name of it. The book...Ah, well, it should come to me later.

R.L.Stine I loved this guy as a kid. Now his writings a bit too choppy, but he should still be included

Peter Straub Ghost Story, the Throat, Hellfire Club...
