History:

Buzz left Springfield to fight in the Vietnam War. While he was there he shot and killed a deranged soldier turned sniper. The government awarded him the Silver Star, but Buzz thought it was just to cover everything up. He felt guilty and decided to tell the widow, Sylvie, about her husband’s death. Because of this news she suffered a miscarriage. Buzz felt guilty and decided to stay with her and start a new life. While living with her they had a daughter named Lucy. Unbeknownst to his new family Buzz also had a family back in Springfield. A wife, Nadine, and two small children, Frank and Harley. He never told his family that he was alive, so they where led to believe that he was a great war hero who died in action.

When Harley grew up she went to the Vietnam War Memorial with Mallet to look for her father’s name. When she couldn’t find his name, she decided to search for him. They found out that he was still alive and had actually returned to the states in 1977. This news that Harley was looking for him prompted Buzz to return to Springfield. On his way into town is when he first met Jenna. Her car had broke down and he pulled over to help. They flirted and it was a meeting of kindred souls, but he had family/money problems and she was invloved with Roger/Spaulding problems. Since he had some minor facial surgery after being beat up by loan sharks he wasn't inmmediately recognizable. Nadine did realize who he was but he blackmailed her into keeping quiet since at the time she was faking being pregnant by Billy. So, she decided to pass him off as a long-lost cousin "Rex." While he was in SF Harley and Mallet put the facts together and realized that “Rex” was actually Buzz and they had found her father. Eventually, they forgave there dad, even after finding out about Sylvie and Lucy.

When Buzz returned to Springfield Jenna helped him avoid his children. A relationship blossomed until he found out that she was pregnant by her husband, Roger Thorpe. Buzz decided to leave them alone and prepared to propose to Nadine. When he was about to propose he saw Jenna through the window of the diner and realized marring Nadine wasn’t right at the time. He had to help Jenna get her marriage annulled.

Buzz then began to work his way back into his family's good graces by working at the Diner as a busboy while at the same time trying to convince Jenna that he was the man for her (from picnics at Laurel Falls to fireworks on the Spaulding Lawn). Jenna began to be disenchanted with Roger (and his obsession with Holly) and was drawn to Buzz but in the end after Roger apologized & proposed she decided that Roger needed her more and that she was committed to a relationship with him. And part of her just cdn't trust a man that had left his kids and family to stick with her. (especially since she had been abandoned by her father) Roger and Jenna married in August 1993. Buzz and Nadine then started to get closer as Buzz still wanted Jenna. Jenna found out she was pregnant and was happy until she found out the same night that Roger had a hand in Eleni's kidnapping, and that he had lied to her about how her father Clyde Wynant died and about her rightful claim on Spaulding. She kept her pregnancy secret from Roger but Nadine, who found out after looking through Jenna's bag, in an effort to keep Jenna away from Buzz, told Roger he was going to be a father. Jenna helped Buzz with information on Eleni's whereabouts and told Roger that she wanted a divorce. Roger then informed Buzz the night Eleni was rescued that Jenna wasn't ever going to leave him because she was having his baby. Eleni had been kidnapped by Roger's accomplice George in order to get her hands on the document that would prove that Wynant was paid $5,000 for his invention and Jenna wasn't the rightful owner of Spaulding. Buzz found the document. Buzz now thought about giving Nadine what she wanted and proposing. He was going to do so on Thanksgiving when he saw Jenna looking through the window and then changed his mind. Later he went after Jenna who told Buzz it was over with Roger. Jenna insisted to Roger that it was over, that she realized he had just been using her and lying to her from the beginning to get his hands on Spaulding. That he had lied about how her father died, framed by Brandon and Henry to waste away and die in prison, she would turn against Henry and turn back to Roger and go after Spaulding. She told him she would never let him near her child. Roger then threatened her and said he'd have Spaulding, her and the baby, that he would win as always. Later that night Roger was shot and presumed dead. Buzz and Jenna weren't aware of this though and Buzz brought the document to court that proved Jenna didn't have a rightful claim to Spaulding. He thought it would release Roger's hold on her. Jenna was furious b/c now she had nothing to fight Roger with to keep her baby. She became ill from the stress and almost miscarried. Buzz found out came to the hospital, then told Jenna that Roger was presumed dead and then Buzz took her home to The Firehouse to take care of her. Buzz and Jenna grew closer. On New Year's Eve after Buzz told Jenna he had to stay at the diner so the others could celebrate, Jenna was alone at The Firehouse, and Roger un-deaded (after a nice sabbatical in Holly's basement) but still recovering from his wounds showed up. Jenna pulled a gun on him (Harley's revolver)and ordered him to leave. Roger didn't believe Jenna would shoot him, but she told him she already had (she lied) and pulled the trigger (the gun wasn't loaded and she knew that) just to scare him and convince him of her hatred for him. Roger then proceeded to say he realized he couldn't have her anymore but he wanted their unborn child. He told her she had nothing anymore, that she came from nothing, that he had tried to give her a better past but she refused it, that she was garbage that came from garbage, that she had no skills but thievery and that no court would let her keep her baby. Jenna started to miscarry. Buzz coming home was at the door came in and threw Roger against a wall as Jenna fell to the floor screaming. Roger finally left as Buzz called the police and an ambulance. She miscarried.

Jenna decided to market Eleni's hand lotion, without telling Eleni, figuring out the ingredients herself. She was going to use to $10,000 from her divorce but Buzz in a series of miscommunications gave most of it to Lucy to make up for using her money for Harley and Mallet's wedding. Jenna then went to Alan Michael for backing. Buzz felt like he was being cut out, and was jealous so he entered into a scheme with Pauly Hardman to recover stolen money from Hardman's bank robbery years earlier. Jenna was upset with Buzz and told him it would only lead to him hating himself and more problems but then they decided to keep it. They then started making business deals and Jenna turned down A-M's continued backing b/c she didn't want to hurt Buzz. Nadine found the money and decided it was best to flush it down the toilet. Jenna was furious when Buzz defended Nadine for flushing their future down the toilet. She was tired of him always sticking up for Nadine and they fought and grew to an impasse. Buzz then shocked her by proposing. Buzz and Jenna then agreed to meet at the top of the Towers to get married, if neither showed then the other would know the other didn't want to. That same night with the police closing, Buzz was dressed to met Jenna when Det Cutter arrived to question him about the $$$ and the plumber came out of the bathroom saying he just found some money. Buzz ran off. Jenna waited and left thinking Buzz had decided not to show. Buzz arrived late and thought Jenna had decided not to show. Buzz distraught and fleeing the police wandered in the rain and became ill. Nadine hid him but Jenna found out and nursed a delerious Buzz while trying to figure out a way to get the money back to get Buzz off the hook with the authorities. Later when Buzz came to his senses Nadine lied to Buzz about Jenna being there. Jenna decided to sell her company to A-M for the money. Buzz saw it on a fuzzy TV and thought she was selling him down the river. Nadine and family then paid the money via mortgage on the diner and Eleni's catering business and Buzz was remanded into Nadine's protective custody. Buzz and Jenna finally realized that the other had shown up at the Top of the Towers. Buzz again asked Jenna to marry him but she wanted to do so only if they could get out of that town. He agreed but then realized he was bonded to Nadine for the near and maybe long future. Jenna couldn't take it anymore and told him she couldn't marry him, that it would never work. Meanwhile Nadine convinced Buzz they could get back the money by being on the game show Soul Mates. Jenna then found out she was pregnant and was about to tell Buzz when she saw him and Nadine on television posing as a couple. She called the studio to see if all the couples had to be married to participate b/c Buzz and Nadine weren't married, they told her yes and she was devestated. But that phone call got the producers to ask Buzz and Nadine to prove they were married. Buzz and Nadine decided to marry after they got to Vegas for the final round. Meanwhile Jenna was still considering telling Buzz about the baby but time and time again something prevented her. One time after Eleni and Franks renewal of vows David Grant taped Buzz talking about love, how what he loved Nadine but it was like his love for Marina, familial but that Jenna was in his blood and he loved her so much he'd do anything for her. Nadine made sure Jenna got the tape but edited it so that his latter remarks about Jenna were erased. Jenna later found out they weren't married and followed them on the train, but got locked in the baggage department, by the time she got out it was just in time to see Buzz and Nadine proclaimed man & wife at a tacky chapel. She left unseen and went home. Buzz and Nadine won the money and Buzz was a free man. Then began Jenna's storyline with Alan Spaulding as Buzz decided to try and make his marriage to Nadine work since he felt he owed it to her. Nadine later found out Jenna was pregnant but didn't tell Buzz. Jenna once again tried to tell Buzz on the advice of Vanessa but Buzz told her he was with Nadine now and didn't want to talk to her. Jenna tired of being pregnant but hiding it and unable to enjoy it decided to leave town. She told Vanessa she needed some stability, some normalcy, that she needed someone to depend on where she and her child came first, and that wasn't Buzz. Buzz unable to stop thinking about Jenna but trying to make it work with Nadine also decided to leave town. Nadine started to feel guilty, FINALLY, and while on the trip told Buzz about how she had altered the tape, how she had interfered and lied about and to Jenna, and that Jenna was having his baby. Unfortunately Buzz was out the door after the first part and never heard Nadine tell him about the baby. He hitchhiked his way Springfield and finally saw Jenna at the airport but they were divided by the fence, and he still didn't realize she was 8 months pregnant! He told her he still loved her, he pleaded with her to stay but Jenna felt it was too late and left. Jenna later called Vanessa and Henry and told them she had a boy on X-Mas. Nadine never told Buzz about the baby.

Jenna returned in Christmas of 96’ with a troublesome husband, Jefferey Morgan, in tow. The Coopers decided to pull the wool over his eyes and scam him in New York City. They used Phillip’s Spaulding bonds to set Jeffy-boy up for exstorsion. And just to be sure Buzz and Eleni went to Switzerland and stole all the evidence Jefferey had to use on Jenna(they were jewel thieves and he could prove that she had stolen all those jewels across Europe).

Even after all this, they still didn’t catch a break. This is when Nola happened. She started stalking Buzz and scaring Jenna. When Buzz found out it was her, he decided to confront her at he Bauer cabin, where she was vacationing. He quickly forgave her, but then trouble struck. He fell down a flight of stairs and got amnesia. While that was happening Jenna got some pretty bad news herself--she was pregnant with Jefferey Morgan’s baby. A fluke accident in the writing department caused Buzz to miraculously regain his memory without any of us knowing. He also opted to raise Jenna’s baby as his own, which, as Martha Stewart would say, “Is a good thing.”

Well, after a three-month hiatus Jenna and Buzz were back! Jenna returned from England and Buzz wanted to get married ASAP. Jenna was hesitant but didn't really say anything. Her and Harley went to Vanessa's first ever "Second Chances" meeting. In the middle of the meeting Jenna went into labor. Buzz showed up(he was bringing Jesse, supposedly to bring vitamins but it was actually to see Michelle) and went with Jenna to the hospital. When they arrived Buzz rushed off to find Griffin. He wanted to marry Jenna before the baby came. At first everyone thought that Buzz's plans were going to be spoiled by Charles but Buzz signed some papers and they were allowed to proceed with the ceremony. They wed(yipee!!). Harley was the maid of honor, Frank best man and anyone and everyone in that waiting room were witnesses! Soon after they became Mr. and Mrs. Buzz Cooper, Jenna gave birth to a baby boy, who has yet to be named(Even though it's probably going to be Ian Stavros.).

I'm sorry to say that since the last update of this page the life of the character Buzz Cooper has taken a dramatic and dismal turn for the worse. After the birth of Rocky and his marriage to Jenna one would assume things were going quite well for Mr. Cooper, and they were. But then, one day in late Novemer/early December of 1998, Buzz and Jenna got word that Jefferey Morgan had escaped from prison. A few days later, Jefferey showed up at the apartment while Buzz was at the diner with the boys. At the time, Jenna had been talking with Holly who admitted out loud that she knew that Rocky wasn't Buzz's child but was infact Jefferey's. Jefferey overheard this and barged in. He demanded to see his son. Jenna convinced him they weren't in the house(which they weren't) but rather than see him harm her boys Jenna got him the car and drove off the rode. Jefferey died immediately in the crash. Jenna, on the other hand, had time to call Buzz and tell him where she was. He arrived at the scene of the accident and she passed away in his arms.

Since Jenna's death many things have happened to Buzz. The diner was burned to the ground due to some careless teenagers. He later discovered that Jenna had one the British lottery and he was now a rich man. With the money he purchased what used to be referred to as "Company" and changed the name to "Petula's" after his dear Jenna. He's also gotten himself mixed up with an ex-hooker named Selena.
