3-DIMENSIONAL MONITOR

Scientists of the Heinrich-Hertz-Institute in Berlin developed this 3-Dimensional Monitor together with the Zeiss company. The picture is 3-dimensional because the monitor shows it in 2 different versions, one for each eye. A special glass-groove-plate steers the different pictures into each eye, while a camera watches the person's head how he/she moves it. If the person now moves his/her head, the glass-groove-plate moves too, so always the right picture comes into the right eye. In 1999 the 3-Dimensional Monitor will go into production and be sold for 10000 DM (about $ 4800). This monitor is developed for medicine and architecture, but also for fun and action.
