The MicroPrep ofers state-of-the-art computer technology that delivers a gentle abrasive stream of particles through a small, lightweight hand piece. Actually, there is no need for the hand piece to make contact with the tooth.

The precision of the MicroPrep allows your dentist to treat decay at its earliest stage. Typically, teeth treated with air abrasion are less susceptible to wear and will last longer.

Is it safe?
Absolutely. The tiny abrasive particles are pure aluminum oxide, a biocompatible substance long used in medicine and food. In fact, it is a prime ingredient in several whitening toothpaste's. Due to the speed and efficiency of the MicroPrep, only a very small quantity is used. The abrasive particles are quickly removed by the dental assistant with the highly efficient vacuum system.
