Flung through a time warp from the time of Beast Machines back to the Beast Wars, Stormrave is a lost soul caught out of her own time. Since her Vehicon body was unable to process raw energon, she used her DNA scanners to reformat her body into a design similar to Silverbolt's. She struggles to understand the organic components of her new bird-dog body.
Stormrave is haunted both by her past and her future. She has vague recollections of a previous life as Autobot Sky Patrol Commander and is tormented by memories of disaster. In both robot and bird-dog form she wears a mirrored visor over her eyes. She is torn between Maximals and Predacons as she believes she recognizes bots on both sides as former friends from her previous life.
Worse, though, are her memories of Cybertron during the Beast Machines era. She is desperate to try to stop that future from ever coming to pass, but secretly suspects that she cannot change the future. If she experiences a physical blow or becomes mentally agitated, she snaps back into her original Vehicon programming--to destroy all organic life--and is a danger to anyone around her.
Stormrave seems like a happy-go-lucky maniac. Certainly, she glories in her ability to fly and is constantly showing off. Those who know her, however, suspect that her flippant attitude towards life is her attempt to escape the demons in her past and future.
In robot mode, Stormrave carries Seeker-style arm cannons, an energon saber, and a handgun-style laser. In beast mode, her arm cannons become shoulder-mounted lasers, and six missiles drop down from her wings. In battle, Stormrave exhibits a chilling ruthlessness that seems to be a holdover from her Vehicon programming. She finds herself torn between a gleeful impulse to annihilate the enemy, and a deep-seated feeling that such cruelty is wrong.
