ALLEGIANCE: Predacon
FUNCTION: Warrior/Elite Special Operative
"Predacons are built to rule; Maximals are built to die!"
Samiel was sent to the Beast Wars as an agent of the Tri-Predacus council. Her duty was to investigate Ravage's failure to return and to report on the status of the traitor Megatron. No sooner did Samiel arrive than she decided that the Beast Wars were more important than the Tri-Predacus Council realized, and devoted her energies to ensuring a Predacon victory.
In Turkish, her name means "Poison Wind." Samiel's philosophy of life can be summed up as "survival of the fittest." She believes that it is her duty to kill off the weak so that the strong might make better use of the available resources. Her definition of "weak" consists not only of all Maximals, but also of any Predacons who show signs of incompetance or mercy. She does not seek power for its own sake, but has no compunction about ousting any leader who she feels is less capable than she is.
Samiel was once the former Decepticon leader Tempest, until her rebellion against Artemis Prime (Pantera) failed and her own troops deserted her. Considering the Decepticons "outmoded," Tempest arranged for the Tri-Predacus Council to reformat her into the Predacon Samiel. She maintains the arrogance of a Decepticon Leader, but has the expertise to back it up. While ruthless, she still believes in the Decepticon Code of Honour.
Samielšs beast mode is a yellow and blue archaeopteryx, far more reptilian than bird in appearance, despite the wings. She has clawed hands on each wing, powerful taloned hindquarters, and razor-sharp fangs in her jaw. She has a head like a reptile with a serpentine neck and armoured crest. Each wing sports a cannon and two missiles, much like a jet.
In robot mode, she is armed to the teeth with a laser, a needle gun, smaller arm lasers on each arm, and two swords shaped like feathers. All her weaponry stores in her wings, save the arm lasers.
Samiel is a deadly adversary and an extremely skilled leader and warrior. Her only weaknesses are a slight lacking of physical strength, a dogmatic refusal to consider any other philosophies of life, and a possible conflict between her head and her heart. Occasionally she will find herself in a situation where she must make a painful sacrifice between her personal desires and her philosophy of survival of the fittest. Almost always, her law of survival triumphs. It is said that Samiel is as much a victim of her beliefs as the Maximals she encounters.
