Daisy Defenders
This section of my homepage if about people that are defending Daisy Berkowitz or just prove a good point about the band Marilyn Manson. At the page you were just at, I asked everyone that wanted to add to that message I wrote about Daisy not being out of ideas and these people are the people that wrote back. I guess alot of people are feeling that Daisy is NOT out of ideas and here is proof! If you want me to add your message just email me your thoughts. As long as it is about the band and is not 1 sentance(ie: Daisy is cool!) send me it and I will add it. You can swaer if you want but it will be covered up by stupid looking lines. Speak your mind! Send a f---ing comment!

Before my actually letter starts, the new album is out & is as follows:
1. The Horrible People: Interesting Remix, not great or anything
2. Tourniquet (Remix): This to me is the "we don't need Daisy remix" & it sort
of sucks. First of all, the full-remix of this song has Daisy's guitar still &
is about 7 minutes long & is pretty cool...the version is about 4 & sounds
weak.
3. Dried Up (Live): A live track...sounds just like the album more or less
4. Antichrist Superstar (Live): Another live track...the solo is done on a
Pogo's keyboard or something because while it's going, there's stilla guitar
in the background...and the other unimpressive thing about it, is rather than
counting two measures for the break in the song, the band just stops & is
dependant on the drummer to start the song back up again. (Many bands can all
come back in unison, it makes things less impressive to sort of "restart" the
song.)
5. Man That You Fear (Acoustic): Another "we don't need Daisy" track &
possibly the dumbest track on the whole damn disk...it's called acoustic
simply because Twiggy's playing the song on an acoustic guitar...the rest is
done on a keyboard, I believe (which is not acoustic), at least on the album
it was a rhodes piano (played by Trent Reznor), well, it just pisses me off
that this is called "acoustic," it's just like the album but without Daisy, &
with some new samples...
My thoughts on Daisy. Daisy rocks always has and always will. First of all,
Daisy is definitly NOT out of ideas. if you didnt know he has a new band,
Three Ton Gate with NEW songs.
Here is my guided tour of ACS and you tell me who is out of ideas....
Irresponsible Hate Anthem: a Daisy song and played on SLC tour/tease for the
new album as any good band would do.
Beautiful People: A song over dependent of bass. I like it mind you, but the
guitar is weak.
Dried Up....: This is the song on ACS that I don't like too much so it gets
eliminated for my purposes anyway.
Tourniquet: Another Daisy song played on SLC tour.
Little Horn: Trent Reznor song...hmmm...NIN with Marilyn Manson singing wait
whos out of ideas again????
Crytorchid: A Gacy song like Revelation #9 or Sh*tty Chicken Gang Bang...but
with words...
Deformography: Another Trent song
Wormboy. Another Daisy song...this has become one of my favorite tracks off of
ACS actually...
Mr.Superstar: I think this one was done was on SLC tour. I could be wrong but
Daisy is playing the guitar on it anyway & Trent is playing a guitar too...I
doubt if Twiggy wrote it...I love Twiggy btw just not as a guitarist, only as
a bassist.
Angel With The Scabbed Wings: One of the members of NIN is doing guitar on
this track...not Twiggy...why is it nowhere on this album do I find Twiggy
playing guitar on a track he wrote. It makes me wonder...
Kinderfeld: Does a song called Smells Like Children come to mind from SLC
tour. it was cooler then. Kinderfeld is too slow in comparrison.
Antichrist Superstar: Daisy playing guitar nicely again...& the guitar "solo"
is actually a guitar, not like when they do it live & it's a keyboard...
1996: Hmmm....where have I heard this guitar riff before....I dunno maybe in a
demo song called She Isn't My Girlfriend written by Daisy...
Minute Of Decay: Manson tries to play guitar. isnt too bad...
The Reflecting God: Trent song....again....
Man That You Fear: Daisy song...but alot of the lyrics are taken from an old
Manson demo song...whos running out of creative ideas???????????
So that was my rant about ACS. how great Daisy is! The new songs I've heard by
Manson, Long Hard Road Out Of Hell, Suck For Your Solution, Apple of Sodom,
are pretty cool but dont have that same Daisy feel. There is no typically cool
Daisy solo or anything....ok...Ive probably ranted enough....
Jason
P.S. I'm adding this post script from a sort of recent personal experience. I
was in a band. It started out quite fun. I would make demonic, yet somehow
happy riffs & my friends would jam along & it was kinda like evil with a sugar
coating. However, one day the rest of the band decided they wanted the sugar
coating gone & make the band just a hard nugget of evil. I didn't much like
this idea...I tried to make it work for a while but I couldn't keep anger &
evil up...music to me was a way to enjoy yourself, it's something I enjoy
doing...it should be enjoyable, not necessarily evil & if evil is forced upon
it, it might just crack...well, maybe something like that happened to Daisy.
Perhaps, Daisy liked playing songs like My Monkey & Cake & Sodomy, but
Manson's new approach didn't please him...henceforth to Manson, he seemed out
of ideas, at least evil sounding ones...well, if that made sense, I'll be
surprised, but it sounded good in my head.

well its about damn time someone besides myself said it.
Daisy was 3/4 of the fu****g band.
His playing is unlike anything ive ever heard.
Its a damn shame Manson is trading the art for money. "excactly what
he preaches agianst".
His lyrics also took a turn for the worst. Can anyone say "appeal to a
lower intelect for cash"?
I think Manson can. I wish I could hear the songs Daisy wrote for the
album that didnt make it.
That as****e took something that was pure art and cut it in half. We
were robbed of are release of aggression that our fu**** up, drunken,
doped up fathers instilled in us.
im worried NIN is going the same direction. I know this space was for
"favourite song" but, I had to tell you thanks for making me feel like
im not the only true Marilyn fan left
.
The new s*** is ok but its nowhere near what it used to be.

I SAW MARILYN MANSON THREE TIMES ON THE ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR TOUR
NOW I KNOW THIS MEANS NOTHING TO YOU BUT IT DOES TO EVERYBODY WHO'S INTO
MANSON. FIRST OF ALL, I PLAY GUITAR AND WHEN YOU HEAR A GUITAR SOLO, YOU
LIKE TO CHECK OUT THE GUY FRYING. WELL, MR ZIM ZUM DIDN T PLAY A DAMN
THING EVERYTHING WAS SAMPLED AND OVERDUBBED WHICH IS GREAT IF YOU ARE
THERE FOR THE THEATRICS OF THE SHOW BUT IF YOUR GOING TO TAKE A BAND
SERIOUS SHOULDN'T YOU PLAY YOUR OWN MUSIC? (I REMEBER ANOTHER BAND THAT
DIDN'T PLAY THIER OWN MUSIC OR SING THEY WERE CALLED MILLI VANILLI)I MEAN
I WAS AT LAWRENCE JOEL IN WINSTON SALEM AND THE SHOW WAS FAR FROM GOOD
THEY STILL HAD EMPTY SEATS THIS WAS TWO MONTHS AFTER I SAW THEM IN
CHARLOTTE NC WERE THEY PERFORMED A HELLUVA SHOW WITH MORE OVERDUBBS AND
SAMPLES OF GUITARS MY WHOLE POINT IS IF ITS NOT F---ING BROKE DON T FIX
IT AND MR MANSON GETS A CHANCE TO READ THIS IF YOU POST IT GIVE ME A
CALL BECAUSE
I DON T HAVE TO OVERDUBB MY GUITAR BY THE WAY COOL SITE DUDE YOU KEEP
F---ING ROCKING

Daisy: wrote or co-wrote on every song for Portrait except for "Sweet
Tooth",
written by Gidget. Wrote the majority of the music to "Irresponsible
Hate
Anthem", "Tourniquet", "Wormboy", and "Man That You Fear". Played
guitar on
10 out of 16 of the songs.
The thing everyone has to realize was that Antichrist was supposed to be
a
very heavy record. I don't know if Daisy was into that or not. I'm
sure
Twiggy was. I think Daisy should've stayed since Marilyn Manson are now
in
the process of trying to make an album that would've been more to
Daisy's
likings. I can understand what Marilyn was trying to do with the Beautiful
People
song and the black clothes but it wasn't worth Daisy leaving. Both
Daisy and
Marilyn will probably regret Berkowitz's departure from the band.
About Zim Zum not playing all of Daisy's solos. Zim Zum had to go from
playing in small clubs to a rather large stage show. I'm sure he
didn't have
enough time to get Daisy's rather difficult solos down so I understand
the
prosthetic solos.

i sort of disagree. Daisy was and still is very talented. he hardly ran out of
ideas its just that Manson and Twiggy were getting to specific and it just got
to difficult. However I think the music has not gotten worse by any means and
has gotten better. Daisy was an excellent musician but his wasnt the right
kind of music for Manson's new stuff. Currently Daisy is working on his own
project called Three Ton
gate which even though i haven't heard any of their music they sound and
look pretty cool. Since Scott himself has created this site I think you should
have a link to it. And I highly doubt that Daisy made the band what it is
today. He was talented but Marilyn is still the guiding force. Thank you.

It's about time that there's a good website dedicated to Daisy
Berkowitz! He was, without a doubt, the band member with the most
musical talent and despite what "Mr. Manson" claims, Daisy wasn't just a
"young kid that happened to be hired." He was the one that gave the band
it's awesome signature sound on Portrait of an American Family and
Smells Like Children. Sadly, this was almost totally lost on "Antichrist
Superstar" after he left (got kicked out, possibly?) and Manson and
Twiggy took things too damn seriously. From what I've heard about
Marilyn Manson's new album, it's mostly just remixes (of songs that
weren't that great to begin with) and the reason for that is probably
because the band can't come up with anything better with Daisy being
gone. And I've heard their songs since he left (like "Long Hard Road out
of Hell" and such) and they're OKAY, but Marilyn Manson will never ever
be as good without Daisy. And I hope they realize this when the band is
dead and they all end up working at McDonald's. Thanx for giving Daisy
the credit he deserves.

hello there, i am tanja, 27 years old from toenisvorst in west -
germany, and i hope you'll understand my english - it's not my mother
tongue, but i'll try my hardest....
i just want to say that i miss scott so much, to me he had been the
heart and spirit of marilyn manson, not brian. maybe you don't know, but
in germany the band doesn't cause big reactions because of their image,
music, show or interviews. as much as i know there are - or were - only
two real musicians in the band before scott left, now it's only kenny (i
don't like to call him ginger as there's nothing female on him) who did
drums since he was a baby (or very, very young). jeordie can't play at
all, nothing against mike, but he is not scott (not his fault), and
stephen is certainly good at his job (and also trying to pretend that he
is a bad, bad boy, but despite all the image, " i love satan"-shirts and
nazi-like outfit i think he is just a little bunny), but without scott
the band lost so much of its power. i feel so sorry for scott, fighting
so hard for his rights and money, and all he gets is bad words. scott
didn't deserve that, and i am sure that he will return to the scene
soon, because he is too talented to give up. i was told that people (at
least in germany) get fed up with brian and jeordie who are only two
stupid children in men's bodies. i wonder how kenny and stephen can deal
with those babies as they seem to be real adults. not because of their
age, but especially kenny seems to be a very balanced and serious man. i
think scott is better without brian and jeordie, i hope he gets his
money soon and that he can start a new career.
scott is a real musician, i am the lucky owner of "vanishing century"
and i love that cd. brians says that he wants to shock people. how? and
why? if there's no talent, you can forget about the rest. e.g. blow jobs
are not shocking, they can be fantastic, so why did he faked it on
stage? ridiculous.... nevertheless, the next album will tell, and i hope
scott has a reason to laugh. oh, one more thing - i heard that brian
attacks scott in many ways in his book. i didn't read it and i won't,
but i heard brian wrote something impolite about what scott prefers
sexually. well, firstly, what does that have to do with music, and
secondly, what's wrong with that if scott knows what he wants?
that's it actually, i hope many of you share my view. i don't have a
look into the internet very often as i don't like it and i have no
access to it, this is my dad's computer. bye!
