If you own this car it will propel you through the quarter mile in 12.8 sec @ 116.2 mph and has a top end of 185 mph. It creates a buffer in performance between even the closest overseas opponent and being at least half the price of the closest competitor - you can't beat it.
The Saleen Mustang
This is the most domestic of the cars on these pages. It still has the ability to run with, if not beat, a few of them. It has 480 horspower and 485 lb-ft of torque. This car is truly a monster, chewing up the quarter mile and spitting it out in 12.9 sec @ 116.7 mph and if you let it keep going it won't stop until it reaches about 179 mph.

This is my car. It is a 1995 Ford Probe GT. It has about 180 horsepower and approximately 182 lb-ft of torque. Though this is no huge power provider, it will launch this 3000lb car through the quarter in about 15.5 sec @ 91.7 mph. It has a top speed of roughly 134 mph. This is respectable for a car that was phased out because of sales that were biting into that of the Mustang.
